The original plan was Amsterdam to Paris, but I only made it to Arras and took the train the rest of the way. The total distance ended up being 416km over 6 days. Checking in the bike with the Vincita Sightseer was fairly easy (note: I removed the saddle). The bike didn't sustain any damage in transit, though one of the garment bag buckles did get broken. I used two straps to mount the bags. One goes around the top, through the seat, and through the backpack handle. The other goes around the bottom, over the top of the bottom wheels, and through the rear rack. This configuration is fairly stable if the straps are tight, but the backpack comes too close to my heel while riding.
