First time on a 24” bike! Safe to say she’s pretty dang happy, and we can’t wait to rip up some single track together!
Got the bike from MEC in Canada, it’s the “Speed 24”and it honestly seems to be a really solid build for its price. Has an in house frame but speced up very nicely
– Suntour XCT jr 80mm fork with preload adjustment and lockout
– 8 speed Shimano ESSA drive train
– Tektro hydraulic breaks
– WTB Tires
Everything else I found in this price range from Giant, Specialized, Marin, Trek, ect. was all more expensive and kitted with less quality hardware like mechanical disc breaks, zoom fork with no adjustment ect. Paying a bit more for the name on the frame I assume?
If there’s any other Canadian’s out there looking for a bike for their little ones that are starting to not be so little, I’d highly recommend checking out this bike!
