    Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 – World’s First Hydrofoil E-Bike



    Manta5 Hydrofoiler XE-1 is the world’s first water-bike that replicates the cycling experience, on water. The XE-1 all terrain hydrofoil bike can cruise through choppy waters, carve up oceans and relax on the river.

    The Hydrofoiler has been in production for seven years and went through seven prototypes before Manta5 arrived at the finished product.

    The carbon-fiber reinforced nylon propeller produces thrust at low speeds and reduces drag at top speed powered by a lithium ion battery that lasts up to an hour of ride time this battery can be easily removed and charged from a standard outlet which takes about five hours an onboard heads-up display shows battery level distance and speed which caps out at 13 miles per hour or 21 kilometers per hour propelled by a 460 watt brushless ebike motor three levels of assistance are available to the rider.

    You can ride on oceans, rivers and lakes, handling moderate chop and swell. The front tiller section of the Hydrofoiler self-levels and help to punch through chop and over swell as you ride.

    Bike Material Details:

    Strengthened carbon fibre which is set with high performance epoxies (front and rear hydrofoils)

    Aircraft grade TIG welded 606-T6 aluminium (frame)

    Vacuum formed ASA plastic (buoyancy modules)

    All fixtures have been designed and made to avoid corrosion.

    Price = $8,990.00 as of 12/3/22 on their website

      1) If you stop peddling you sink and drown – For all those people who think this, you clearly did not watch the video, the bike floats, and most of the time when you start off riding the bike you will be in deep enough water to get going, you simply hop on the bike while it's underwater and start peddling and you come to the surface, like it was shown in the video. Plus the only way you would drown is if you can't swim in the first place.

      2) If it's an e-bike why do they have to pedal? – I know American have e-bikes like scooters, just twist the throttle and go, but in some countries e-bikes can only be Pedal Assist, which means the motor does nothing unless you are pedalling first.

      Very cool beginning. I mean beginning because that's gonna be quite niche for a while, until the price drops way down. Carbon fibre everything means that it'll be upwards of like five grand…
      Decent E-bikes are still around that price. Also, imagine if it had a more streamlined tricycle shape to it. It could have one more propulsion mechanism and you wouldn't have to worry about the balance so much. The centre of gravity and stance is important. Look at Jet Skis for example 😉

      Bottom line $9000 is to much and it should be able tofloats completely on top of the water youre not peddling. Good for rich folk that want another status symbol toy.

      I am SURE SUPER EXPENSIVE just to feel cool on water for 1 hour. So I wont even dream about owning one. I will wait for a knock off
