Replaced the ProWheel crank that came with the Trek FX5 Sport. The BB86 is a sealed unit. I used the spacers that came with the shimano crank, however the spacer or what looks like a shitty external dust cover don’t allow the left crank arm to fit into the slot. Considering it’s a sealed press fit BB86 does the cheap plastic spacer from the pro wheel really matter?
I don’t ride in rain or mud. Only dry conditions. Any input? There is good clearance and everything is good and snug. I don’t foresee any shit getting into the BB.
