Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and new to the world of bicycles. I'm looking for a bike that will allow me to commute to work in the city but also do "Gravel" type weekend outings. I prefer older bikes because they are cheaper. I came across an interesting ad and went to see the bike there. The person is knowledgeable and renovated this Specialized commuter. It is from the 1990s/95s and appears to be in very good condition. It costs €350.
Here is more information about the ad: Selling commuter specialized rockhopper size m. (Ideal 1m m70 – 1m80) Bike completely disassembled, cleaned, greased and carefully adjusted. -Replacement of worn parts with numerous parts made in Japan. -New Schwalbe Billy Bonker tires. -1×7 speed transmission -Sram x7 brake caliper -Shimano lx lever Fully revised ready to ride
What do you think? Is the price justified? I don't realize this amount for a bike that is still 30 years old. The person explained to me that it will not really lose value over time.
Thank you in advance for your answers! Good day
