Picked up this Ciocc San Cristobal that's seen better days. I was fully aware that it had a dent on the downtube (seller made it aware) but I just recently discovered a tiny crack while cleaning some rust off. My plans were to roll out the dent, remove all the toasty flaking paint and rust, and rebuilding it to a point where it's rideable and and presentable. But that tiny crack has me stumped, what do you guys suggest? With some labor of love, I know this frame still has some potential. Obviously it's never gonna me a top dollar Ciocc again, but I'd really love to give it a second lease. There's plenty of bike collectives around my area so there's a chance someone can lend me a helping hand, what's your guys's opinion? Oh, almost forgot: how do I date this bike? I have a feeling that it was made anywhere between 1979-1984.
