This week, we continued our ride through the south of Turkey, cycling along the coast and into the mountains. We took a few rest days to properly recover before tackling the steep climbs ahead.

We visited Kuşadası, a coastal town popular with holidaymakers, and passed through several small towns where we were met with generous hospitality and genuine kindness from locals. Their openness and warmth were a highlight of the week.

We camped by the sea and in quiet spots near remote villages. The roads took us through challenging zig-zag climbs, followed by rewarding views and long, enjoyable descents. It was a week of contrasts—effort and rest, quiet and connection, coast and mountain.

If you’re following our journey from Switzerland to Asia, this episode gives a closer look at the rhythm of life on the road and the landscapes that shape the experience.

  1. J’adore les sons et la musique. Très méditatif avec quand même le son de vos voix. Waouh, l’arbre murier à la belle écorce et si généreux. Un pays de tous les contrastes et un accueil exceptionnel ! Merci du partage et bonne route^^

  2. Hello from Türkiye and thanks for sharing 🙂 all the best with for rest of the journey. (you probbaly completed the journey as mulburries are late summer or autumn fruit) Late summer is still hot, you've done well…. You saw the real working class heros, hotel sheet cleaners, herders, etc…

  3. My apologies if you have 500 other people asking this, but:

What were the berry-like things at 5:18 & 9:15 – they looked really unusual.

I had heard of Mulberries before, but never seen them until near the end of the vid.

It's weird that they grow on trees, whereas blackberries which look so similar, grow on thorny brambles.

10% grade climb at 30° C. Ugh. Just looking at the sign exhausted me.

The Hotel / Pool / Evening shot at 4:44 was heavenly…

    Thank you as always!
