[Music] [Music] [Music] Heat up here. [Music] Hi guys. How are you, man? Good. What’s your name? You go. How you doing? I met him on the road. Oh, you did? You know you I he just met us today. Today in the morning in the pool. [Music] And what’s it mean for you to be here now? like competing against some of the best. Yeah, it’s it’s good. So, after Texas, yeah, it was a little bit tough time. Got sick, but now hopefully new chains to to get it done. So, where’s your strength lie especially in this course? Uh I think it’s yeah making the swim fast and then full guys on the bike taking the pressure on the other guys so they have to close the gap. Yeah, there are many many other fast guys on the course. So maybe you’re around top eight. Uh that would be perfect. And yeah, making the best out of it, getting some points for the Pro Series. That’s important. Uh new is the field that’s it’s so stacked. It’s it’s so competitive. So uh yeah, every race you have to be at 100% to to get it done. And the kind of racing with with these guys, it’s new. It’s hard, but yeah, I’m I’m ready for it. How do you like this climb? Beautiful with this big gear in front. Have to push a little bit more, but perfect view. Could be worse, I think. Does this kind of course suit you? I’m more the flat guy or pushing the the WS um with small hills, but I think this suits me. It’s it’s not that hilly, so you have some some steep climbs, but I think I will manage. And also uh looking at knees for the course, it’s will be the same. So, good practice. It comes down to a run battle between you and three Norwegians. What’s going to happen? Hopefully, I’m the winner. It’s an honor to to race against them and maybe to argue them, taking them under pressure. Maybe hopefully and learn from them and yeah, step by step coming closer to them. Many many fast guys are here. Will be a tough one for me. When I run, I’m I feel free and it’s for me like super powerful to have my hair free, too. So, it’s like a mindset to just put my hair free and run free. How are you? Good. You? Yeah, fine. Thank you. You were you just going down to register? Yeah, I passed them. I passed Norian. I see the Yeah, the rank. You wanted to have because I passed you on the bike. I told baby also passed you. Yeah. Yeah. You have to tell the full story. But only you passed us. But but it’s true. She passed us on the bike today. 2019. I raised age group and I took my slot for the world champion in 2019. I never thinking about be a professional athlete one day. It was just like for fun and I raised this race because I studied here. So I just wanted to have fun but never in my mind I thinking to again race here as a professional athlete. I love this phrase because I studied here so I have a lot of memories with all my friends. We made a lot of party here in the earth of Exon Province. I also started triathlon here in Exxon Province and yeah, I I think I know every corner and I just want to have fun and to race close to my friend and my family. This is me and this is K in Lanzari. The be is a famous sweet. Yeah, the calis. It’s famous here in province. You need to try. Maybe we can go and buy some later. Okay. Honey, almond, melon, and white egg and [Laughter] orange. This is a perfect gift. If you’re in Exon Province, you need to try the kis. Yeah. Enjoy. Do you know the rain island? It’s an island when I grow up. They forgot to put it’s a French island. Now there is the full earth. [Music] [Music] I’m not I’m not like a person who likes like rice in the morning like cooking and no I can’t eat it. Perfect. Huh? What’s the plan this afternoon? So, I was swimming this morning and then went here and now a bit running. First a little sandwich and then we go. Can we come in? Yeah. Yeah. We’ll see you crib. Yes. I just saw it like 10 minutes, but let’s go inside. This is the penthouse. [Music] Hello. Hello. They look familiar. Welcome. So, is this how you’re going to make like what kind of sandwich? German, French. I normally cheese, ham, everything. Yeah, that’s a masterpiece. It’s good, huh? Looks like a fivestar sandwich right there. So, what’s the plan for this weekend? Try to be smart. European races are always hard, the 70.3s. So, good field. Christian is smart. He’s always like clever in the racing and on the run. He’s super strong. Where you going? Down and then on to the run course. Try to enjoy it. Especially here in France, they know all my name. So they always like Aliu Ali Ali Ali. Uh what do you think this course? Uh none of you’ve been on it, but from off the paper, you know, lake swim, pointto-point bike, city, hot city run. I like it when it’s actually really hot. The hotter the better for me. And uh I heard it’s really hilly. You need to save some energy for the last climb and for the even for the run. It’s like with all the twists and turns, it’s not a fast course and you need some energy for that. Yeah. Try to go with a Norwegian train and go for another podium. How was that? Nice. The up and down all the way like pretty tricky. Yeah, actually like Yeah, it’s quite a technical run. It’s good for small short guys, but it’s like me. Us is not my strength. See you run. See you tomorrow. See you tomorrow probably. [Music] Not much arrow on this course. Look like around like here is nature and these hills. I like [Music] Yeah, I’m really happy how my season started. Yeah, I hope it stay like this or get even better. Yeah, I did like Olympic distance for short course distance for like 14 years and I think after four Olympic qualifications, I just need a little change and I just got love with the long distance and yeah, I enjoy it a lot. Yeah, every day is different, you know, like you don’t know what you expect, where you will be and I just like go in the nature and meet different people and it’s so much more social. Yeah. So, the 70.3 and the Iron Man distance are really suiting you well. Yes. Like I love it because finally I can show a little bit my bike strength. It was a little bit a problem in the short distance with the drafting. So I was always behind and I stayed behind and now I just yeah I can use these strengths a little. So you’ve podiumed four times in your last five races. Who do you think you’re going to be your biggest competitors this weekend? Yeah, I look at the stat list and I think it’s going to be a big battle on the run. Emily Moria or Lena Ma or Ma Sanchez? I think it’s going to be exciting and close race. a pro series features in your season. Yeah, like for me I have now texters finished third and I will see how this is going and I going to decide after that. A long season and a lot of races so I still have time to decide your expectations for for this weekend. I just want to get the best out of me again and surprise myself again and yeah, if I have a good day, finish podium, finish on the top. So let’s see what the day brings. [Music] [Music] Heat up here.
