Never thought I'd become a bike commuter as an American cause it was just too dangerous where I lived for bikers. Then I moved to Germany a few years ago and have done a complete 180 on biking and bike commuting and now I can't see my life any other way. I get daily movement, my body feels better, I've lost a couple of kilos and it just makes me happy to ride a bike everyday.
~2013 Cannondale Synapse and early 90s Marin Bear valley.
I use the Cannondale for work commuting since it actually is the correct frame size for me, unlike the Marin. Paid 80€ for the frame and then about ~150€ more for necessary parts. The Marin cost me 40€ plus about 100€ in parts. Thank god I work as a bike mechanic and get a 40% discount on parts and free labor.
Was doing some work on them today and just had one of those "man this is great" moments and wanted to share!
