I bought this bike off someone and the seatpost was seized so I tried putting the seatpost in a vice upside down and using the headtube as leverage. I thought I was doing all the right things then I heard a crack. Thinking I had made the seatpost move I realised I cracked the frame 🙁 I'm aware it's unusable now and the bike was fairly cheap so I'm not too upset but I was wondering if I did anything wrong or if the frame might’ve been weakened from the rust because it seems like steel shouldn't crack just with my leverage. I guess It was a lot of pressure on that. It was chromoly steel for reference
