All right. Well, the season is finally upon us and it’s not quite the weather we expected here in Poland. It’s currently snowing. It’s trackwalk day. We’re here at the first World Cup of the season. This is Win TV and this is probably the season with the biggest changes we’ve ever seen. So, we’re going to go and see what’s going down on this hill here in Poland. Let’s go. This brake lever is way too cold, Angus. Hey, this is a cold brake lever today. It’s already muddy, but the Nikes are in action for another season. We’ve dusted them off, got the UK dust off them, and they’re ready to go. The um the conditions are soft under foot already on this first straight. Could get tricky as we’re predicting quite a lot more rain or snow this week. So, um it’s going to be a tough race, I think. And uh but they say when the going gets tough, the tough get going. And uh the tough are going to get going this week. She’s a pretty cold track walk today and we’re just trying to warm up. So, we’re going to run the track instead. All right, Dana Bomb. Uh, new year, new team. How’s it going? Yeah, good. Pretty stoked on the new setup. First year elite, too. So, should be exciting. Making giant moves. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And, um, all adapted to a new bike. Feeling good coming into your first elite season. Yeah, I’ve had uh quite a bit of time on it now. So, feeling pretty comfy and yeah, I’m excited. And you do a bit of training with Jackson, so probably nice to have someone like that living near you. Yeah, for sure. Doing shuttles with him definitely helps. So, yeah, all the boys are up to speed. All right, it’s all on then. First first World Cup and could be a wet one. Yeah, looks it’s going to be a very muddy one. So, I’m keen so it should be good. You like uh the wet weather? I don’t mind it. Um used to it at home. So, yeah, should be good. All right. Well, good luck this weekend in your first race for the new teammate. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Cheers. Look at that. Nice soft landing. We’re going to need skis soon. Yeah. Yeah. I’m getting my ski suit down the bottom. We need a ski suit for this week. It’s going to be cold. If it stays up like this, stays up like this, you’ll be landing in the snow. But it’d be it’d be cool a bit of snow on the track. Mix it up, you know. But not quite like the tropical UK that I’m used to. So yeah, I’d rather be at home in the sun. I can’t feel my thumbs yet. Oh, there it is. Luke, my Smurf, uh, not quite the start to the World Cup season you expected with snow. Oh, definitely not. But, uh, we’re here for it. Excited for the season to kick off. And, um, yeah, it looks like it’s going to be pretty muddy, pretty cold, rainy, snowy, all of it. So, um, yeah, I couldn’t find my, uh, wet weather gloves this morning, so my hands are pretty freezing right now, but uh, try and find them for tomorrow. and um have some fun. You might need the wet weather ones this week. I think looking at the forecast, it might be wet the whole week. Yeah, that’s it. So, um but no, I’m excited. Just make the most of it and um get out there and enjoy it and um unleash my inner mud riding. Yeah. And looks like you’ve had a pretty strong offseason preparing for this one. Yeah, it’s been really good. Like lots of good prep. Um some good offseason races and um No, looking forward. Yeah. Uh third consecutive. So that was pretty cool um to do that again and um yeah excited to yeah get the World Cup season started. Y and uh we hung out with your younger brother at the sea. That that was a good time. Um he he told me that he trains as hard as you but he just doesn’t show it. Uh something like that. I mean he’s he if you count surfing as all the cross training. Um he’s pretty strong. He’s active for sure. Yeah. Um all the time but uh yeah bit of bit more cross training I guess for him. But you excited to see how he goes on the new team? Yeah, 100%. I think he’s pretty excited. Um, new bike, new team and all. So, yeah, keen to see how he goes and should be good for him. Probably bit of a vibe over there for him. Yeah, maybe maybe suit him with that crew. Yeah, a bit more chilled for him, I think. So, um yeah, give him a bike and he’ll be he’ll be fast. Sweet. All right. Well, good luck this weekend and uh enjoy it, mate. Thanks, man. Appreciate it. Cheers. Anyway, uh Jess, what do you think of these conditions for the first World Cup? Yeah. Um, wow. Don’t know what to say really. It’s uh obviously my first time doing a trackport where it’s snowing, so yeah, at least I did a winter this year, so it’s it’s normal. It’s normal. Yeah. Yeah. But uh uh we’ll see. Yeah. See what happens. And uh how excited are you for the changes that they’ve brought in this year? Um, did does it make a difference for you at all or I mean for the like for the women going into finals with 15, I am excited for like that change. Yeah. So, yeah, I think that is a positive step. Mhm. But yeah, I think that’s been a long time coming. But then no protected riders. Do you do you like that or I like that. Yeah. But I think that’s only because I’ve obviously been through the the no protected status. Yeah. Yeah. And then I’ve had the odd case of like being protected. I’m like, nah, this is just like it’s just not fair. Um, yeah. So, I think it actually makes it like so level. And I’m a little bit excited to see how obviously some of the girls that have had protected like Yeah. for the last however many years come into this cuz it’s like you get used to the ah this is easy. I’m just going to drop in. It doesn’t matter. Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah. Yeah. And like if if you go to finals anyway, it’s like quite nice. You can just send it or Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. send it or cruise it. So, yeah, can’t do that anymore. No, but but I think that’s that’s been a good change, I think. So, um it’s going to be an exciting first race, I think. Yeah, I would agree. Um excited to see what happens. Obviously, I feel like the level just keeps going up and up and it’s just Yeah, even the juniors I’m like, “Oh, yeah.” So, a lot of lot of the juniors now are setting fastest times quite often, which is something that didn’t used to happen. No, it didn’t used to happen. Um or it would happen like on the rare occasion I guess. Um but yeah, don’t know. I just feel like Yeah, it’s crazy. For you, what’s your expectations here? Um h I’m not putting any expectations on myself. I just want to like ease into the year. So yeah, we’ll uh build throughout the season. Yeah, it’s a good plan. Good plan. Yeah, exactly. So yeah, just need to chill. But you had some good splits on this track last year, I saw. Yeah, I had a good obviously top section and then I lost like can’t remember exactly. I lost like almost a second in the last split. Oh yeah. And I was like so I need to find out where that second went. But yeah. Um No, it’s a good track. Y but um it’s going to be different like this. Yeah, I don’t know. So we’ll see. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, good luck this weekend and uh yeah, great to see you here, Jazzy Jess. Yeah, Jazzy Jess. Thanks. and Agnes behind the camera. We’ve got the man from the street races, one for valleys, onto the new team this year. How’s it going so far? do this condition. Cold? Uh, bit cold. Yes. You like the cold or not? Um, yes. Yeah. You like the cold and and the mud? Do you like the mud? You’re a bit of a mud rider. Some Sometimes it’s slippery in the streets, too, though. Yeah. Yeah, you’re you excited to be in the new team? Uh yes. Yeah, I am happy. Yeah, it’s really good to see uh you coming from Colombia and making it into a big team. It must be pretty special for you. Yeah. Well, good luck this weekend and uh look forward to seeing you sending it like you do in the streets. Thank you. Thank you. Let’s go. Let’s go, Colia. Let’s go. We’ve had a real disaster of the track walk so far. We’re walking down. Our batteries went flat cuz it’s too cold. So, it’s sucking battery. And then we had to take the uh microphone off and somehow we’ve lost the brake lever that we were using and we borrowed from Shimano just for this trackw walk. So um hopefully someone finds our brake lever. Have you seen it, mate? I haven’t seen any brake lever, but hopefully it goes to a deserving privateeer. Yeah, someone that doesn’t have a brake lever. Exactly. Exactly. But I mean it’d be a bit worried if you’re showing up to Poland with missing a brake lever. Some people do, I’m sure. I I actually couldn’t find any privateeers this week that were staying in their van. Maybe you start taking on less fortunate elites who do have a full factory team now. What? So, I’m like a a support team for those that are not in a good team. Exactly. Those who are maybe in a stressful situation with the team that they’re in. Not naming any names obviously. Um and they can come to you for some help and advice. All right. Well, yeah. No, I’m basically becoming a counseling service then. You’d be the best. You’d be the best. Yeah, a bit of counseling. Yeah. All right, guys. Yeah, I’m I’m always a shoulder to lean on if you need me. So, yeah, I’m always around. Cracking cracking. Cheers, mate. Cheers, mate. All right, Sebastian, new team. Uh, the Colombians have made it into the teams. That’s pretty cool. Yeah, we are we are really happy for that now with the M racing and Juan the intense. Yeah, it’s amazing to be back in in a big team. And how how is it so far in this team? Actually, really good. The bikes feels good. all the people is is like amazing. So, I’m really happy how we are right now. And you’ve lost your chain, mate. Yeah, that’s that’s not a good part, but yeah, it’s pro no ch. No, no, you’ve lost your chain. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that’s good. I’m really happy with the with the new um with the gates with the pinion. So, yeah. And and the zero skirt. Yeah, I’m really happy with that, too. Yeah. New Zealand bike. It is too. Yeah, that’s sick. And ha to to from New Zealand there. So you have a good laugh with Tota. Yeah, a lot. Is it like ch bro? Yeah, bro. Mean, bro. Yeah. Yo. Yeah. Yo, bro. Yo, bro. Yeah. Just like that. By the end of the year, you’ll speak English like that. Yeah. Hopefully. So that’s sick. Yeah. Yeah. You’ll speak with the New Zealand accent. Yeah, that that’ll be cool. And uh feeling strong coming into this first World Cup. Yeah, for sure. Way stronger than last year. So, I’m happy with that. physical and mentally I’m better. So yeah, sick. And excited for a slippery track. Yeah, it’s going to be sick. Yeah, this track is in the mode is really good. So really looking forward to enjoy it. Yeah, the streets are slippery sometimes. So you guys know how to judge the uh grip. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, we’re good doing that. So it’s going to be sick. All right. Well, enjoy this one and great to see you in a new team, mate. Oh, thanks, mate. Cheers. Cheers. All right, Ellie. Uh, you love a good mud race and it looks like it’s going to be another mud race to start the season here. Ah, yes, for sure. And snow at the moment as well. I like it. Yeah. You excited for this one then? Yeah, I’m excited. I hope um faster already, but yeah, the condition are Yeah. quite good. So, we’ll see. How’s been all the changes to the new team? I like it. Finally. Not new team, but new bike and new program. Yeah, exactly. Finally, I have other girls in the team, which is the first time. So, I’m really excited. Yeah. Three girls. Yeah. So, it’s a new challenge and I like it a lot. I like the bike. Zero bike, New Zealand bike. I like it. It’s fast with the gearbox as well. So, we’ll see. All right. Well, good luck this weekend and look forward to seeing you uh tackle the probably tough conditions, but maybe what you like. Yes, we’ll see. I’m going to give my best and we’ll see. Good luck. Thank you. We got to try and find the uh brake lever that’s gone missing. Where could it be? Where could it be? It’s not here, Angus. I didn’t leave it anyway. I gave it to you, Angus. I gave it to you. I did. All right. We’ve lost our brake lever. If you’ve seen a brake lever on course, which one? Uh Shimano. No, sorry. We lost the Shimano brake lever. That was our microphone. That happened. Oh, no. Sorry. Yeah. No, thank you. And uh how was your off season, mate? Uh it was good. a bit tough with injury in injury since uh Monsantan was not healing up. So was tough but uh yeah went late on the bike. Yeah. But uh yeah, all good. Happy to be here. Yeah. Season start finally. So I’m stoked. And those young guys in your team, they’re pushing you on now. Woo. The young boys in the team, bro. They flying. But juniors now are not They’re not juniors. They’re not juniors. What are they doing? It’s insane. They’re just so good. Yeah, they Yeah, they love biking. Every type of types of bike and they spend hours on it and they’re like, “Fuck, everything looks so easy when you look at them.” So, I try to absorb the the vibes and I try to learn from them. Yeah, it must be It must be nice to have that young energy in the team. Yeah, honestly, it’s cool. It remember you a bit uh how you were like like a kid. So, yeah, it’s good. They don’t give a [ __ ] eating like my old self like eating new life every morning like uh it’s good like okay so I go back to the old old school version. Yeah. Oh nice. And um how do you feel about all the changes to the season? No protection. Um and the LCQ. Honestly I never felt good with it. I don’t really care but I think it’s not like a sport wave we have multiple chance that it’s not I think we will see for sure at least one time like top contender not in final cuz it’s not you don’t have many chance you can crash in a Q and have a mechanical in Q2 and it’s over it’s not like in moto or formula 1 they have plenty of laps you you like the protection before was good or maybe the solution is like to have like uh Q1 is like 2 hour session and we can do many laps as we want and Q2 same. Yeah. Yeah. Then it’s like the other sports cuz we want I think they want to do like other sports like Q1 Q2 is exciting for sure. But we don’t have like multiple chance in Q1 and multiple chance in Q2. So yeah will be interesting for sure and uh we’ll see. Especially starting the season with a mud race, it’s definitely going to mix it up, bro. It’s mud race. You can easily crash it through. Even Even if you’re riding perfect, anything can happen. Yeah, anything can happen. So, yeah, it’s going to be exciting, I think. Exciting. Exciting. But you you like the mud anyway, like you can deal with a mud race. Yeah, I like it. But as you said, anything can happen. My last mud race like crashed. Yeah. And uh Yeah. So Well, then you have to make this one better than the last one. Yeah, I hope so. Yeah, we’ll see. All right. Well, good luck this weekend and uh great to see you here, mate. Good to see you. Thank you for Thank you. Thank you. Do I look cold? Uh you don’t look warm. Well, you don’t look You don’t actually look cold cuz you’ve got quite the outfit on for the cold. Yeah. Yeah. You know, that’s not what we expected, but uh yeah, you’re ready for it. Yeah, ready for it. You You’re old enough to know that you need to prepare for this. Yeah. I’m at the point where I’m not sure experience work all the time, but you know, I’ve got some Experience normally pays off when it’s wet, too, though. They they the older riders play it pretty smart, I think. Yeah. I feel like this is all I’ve been riding like this all the time, you know, waiting for the the kids to do their things. I watch and then go for it. So, it’s going to be a good things. And uh you excited to kick off the season here? Yeah. Yeah, it’s nice. I mean, like everybody is happy to see each other. It’s like a good community. So, yeah. And it’s finally happening again. Yeah, we’re back. We’re back. Finally. And what do you think of the changes they’ve made to the uh the format? Uh the format? Yeah, I like it. I like to have no protection. I like that everyone is on the same page. I experienced last year how it was. And uh yeah, when you’re protected, you you’re like really safe. And when you’re not, you know, you have this extra things that like anything can happen. So I like it. So you probably got a bit of preparation for this last year. How it feels to to go in with no protection? Yeah, definitely. Yeah, I’m happy that I trained with this last year and yeah, I mean like you just have to ride the way you do and uh and do your things and in case there is a a Q2, you know, it’s a Q2 and in case you don’t go in final is the way it happens. I think when you’re older, you’re like, “Oh, that’s okay.” But a younger athlete, it would be really hard. Yeah, it is going to be hard. And yeah, you have to do your give your best all the time. And well, you had some last year where you didn’t qualify, so it’s probably like pretty mentally tough, but you are probably old enough to know that you’ve got another race coming up pretty soon. Yeah, I’ve got a you’ve got other race and I feel like yeah, you know, I feel a bit more prepared than the first run last year. So, yeah, I’m I’m confident that I will give my best to make it and you know, sometimes you don’t choose what’s happening, especially if it’s a mud race too. Yeah, exactly. You know, in this conditions, you cannot manage everything, surprise can happen. So, yeah, that’s good. That’s what we love about this sport. Yeah, that’s that’s why it’s so good when it goes well and so hard when it doesn’t. Yeah, true words. Anyway, good good luck this weekend and uh great to see you here. Thank you. Thank you. Dom’s risotto. You have to slice it up. Really? Yeah, it was thick last time he made it, so maybe he’s done a bit of homework and research, but yeah, last time we had to slice up the risotto. I don’t I don’t think he’s done much research. Oh, we’ll see. You’ll see. Good luck. He was confident in his cooking, though. Don’t want his risotto. You could have laid a concrete slab with that thing. Like he was proud of the risotto, too. He’s like, I’ve got all the I can do risotto. Yeah, I think we wrote a few pans off with that one. Yeah, we had to chuck that pan out. Yeah, we’ve only got one pen, so you’re doomed. Anyway, Charlie, been quite the strong off season for you, mate. Yeah, it’s been really good to be fair. Been really busy developing the new bike and uh yeah, it’s it’s going well and yeah, stoked on the bike. So keen keen for it. and coming into a wet one. We’ve not seen rain in the UK for a long time. I can’t believe it. Yeah. Home lefty bike park 27° not rained in a couple of months I don’t think. Yeah. And then yeah get to the top of track walk and it’s snowing blizzard and I was like what is going on here? What’s happened to the world? I know it’s uh yeah it’s uh global warm has got us I think now. Global cooling for Poland and global warming for the UK. It is. Yeah. It’s good for us in the UK. It’s been lovely. Yeah. Not every day you wake up you look out see the sun. You can’t believe it. I know. I’m going to need me skis tomorrow, I think. Here. Are you excited for this one? Yeah, keen. Uh to be fair, obviously, even though it has been sunny at home, we do ride a lot in the wet. So, yeah, I’m You know, you know, a wet day when you Yeah, that’s it. If it’s wet, I’m still riding. Still be up for it. So, yeah, it’ be fine, won’t it? Yeah. Yeah. It looks good though. Similar track to last year. A few little changes. Um but yeah, ke. All right. Well, excited to see how you go and how the um belt drive thing does that 100k really motivate you a little bit. Uh or how do you split the 100k if you want it? Uh I think everything it all go in your bank account. No, it’s all Tom Lloyd. Tom Lloyd’s got it all. Um now different teams have different splits. Um really, but yeah. No, to be fair, I think I’d rather win the race than win that. I don’t think that’s really But if you won the race, you won the 100k, too. So, you know, yeah, it’s a good little bonus, but uh yeah, it’s not the be all and end all. Do you think Do you think the World Cup prize money should be 100K? Oh, it would be nice, wouldn’t it? It should be. Would be. Yeah. Hopefully, uh, next year. I think I’ve heard next year. Yeah, next year. Yeah. 100K or $100. Well, we got to pray. All right. Well, good luck. Thank you very much. Cheers. Cheers. No. Oh, tell us what happened. Casper Woolly, unfortunate news, mate. What’s happened? Uh, just tuck the front breaking in the fresh rig. Maybe just a little bit here in Poland. Uh no, like in Czech. Wow. Trying to keep up with M. You know, he knows he knows the Czech trails, doesn’t he? Yeah. On his home tracks. Yeah. Just a super small wash out, but I just clipped my one little finger on maybe a rock or something as I was like sliding and she got she broken. So So out for a couple races. Yeah. It’s maybe even more. It’s like could not be block. Yeah. Yeah, it’s a tight block and then I managed to like break it in the joint space like just just like a worst case scenario. A worst case scenario for a little finger nothing kind of deal. Like I kind of thought a few days ago like oh just tape it up and probably try to ride but then got an X-ray and then sent it to some doctors and they were like oh no. Every reaction was like made me like way more devastated cuz I was like, “Oh, that’s not the reaction I was thinking.” Even you’re like, “Oh, yeah, you’ll be right.” Yeah. They’re like, “Oh, you got to be careful with that.” Well, play it smart, mate. And you’ll be back soon enough. Yeah. Thank you. Sorry to hear that. Yeah. Going home on the weekend and up. Yeah. Timeline is maybe Vald Soul, which is just fantastic. Nice race to come back to. Yeah. you know, not easy one. Yeah, exactly. Never been there either, so perfect. Oh, yeah. Great. But yeah, anyway, [ __ ] happens, I guess, at the best of times. And uh yeah, I guess you got to roll with the punches and you’ll be back strong enough soon. Yeah, lots of races on the schedule this year, so still lots to look forward to. Yeah. All right. Well, he up, mate. Yeah. Yeah. Cheers. All right. So, the um Irish DH series looked like it went off with a bang last weekend, mate. It went off with a bang. A few people banged. They banged they banged their heads a bit too hard, I reckon. Um into the ground maybe. For anyone that got hurt last week, heal up if you’re watching cuz there’s quite a few. Really? There was quite a few big ones. Yeah, I saw I saw the highlight video, but I was like I didn’t know how many injuries went down. I think the quality day seating runs for us were almost delayed close to 2 hours, I think, because of so many kids just dying. Have too many kids been watching Ron and done highlight videos or what? Possibly. Yeah, they need to now watch the the present ones of where he’s not quite as extreme as the old ones. Not the old ones, eh? Yeah, not the old ones. But, um, yeah, it was a solid race and probably good for you, you and Ronan, to get into a bit of a preseason battle. Yeah. And I also got to ride. The main reason I was doing it is to ride the race bike from this week just to bed it in just so you don’t feel weird. Yeah. Your first run feels rusty when you jump on a new bike. Yeah. It’s always never the same. It’s never the same. So, that’s why I wanted to do a few runs on it. But um yeah, it was a good weekend. Yeah, it was 20-ish°. Yeah. And now we’re in a snow snowstorm just like this. It’s t-shirt weather at home, believe it or not. And yeah, in England, too, mate. I know. Unbelievable win. Unbelievable. It’s so sad. So sad to leave your home country when it or not my home country, but like your home when it’s sunny and and you’re like, “Oh, who would have thought it?” Yeah. My mechanic has a tan from Ireland last week in what? May. Started May. Unreal. Unreal. Unbelievable. Yeah. But you must be excited for a bit of a a mutter this week, mate. Yeah, I don’t mind the mud. But recently, the last year or so, I actually prefer the dry. Really? Yeah. I do better I do better results in the dry these days. I know I like the the wet, but I do better results in the dry. So, really dry. It’s just more consistent for everyone. Yeah. You get too unlucky when it’s wet. It’s like people get unlucky. You used to get lucky, but you can’t say you get lucky. You got to be smart as well. You have to be smart as well. Yeah. Yeah. You have to know what you’re doing. Yeah. Yeah. Got to have done it a couple of times. Yeah. It can’t be your first rodeo on the wet. No, that’s uh a stressful situation if it was. Yeah. Stressful. Yeah. Yeah. But uh excited for this one and excited for the changes they’ve got this year. Yeah, I’m excited. Um it feels like I’ve been waiting to do this trackw walk for ages now. Um got a good preseason going. Portugal, doing a few more team camps, got some good results. So yeah, I’m looking forward to getting on the bike tomorrow for the first practice run and just easing into not get too excited. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Easily done, isn’t it? If you if you’ve been waiting so long. Oh, yeah. Just ease into it. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, ease into it tomorrow and we’ll see you sending it on uh Sunday. We’ll do. Good luck, mate. Cheers. Cheers, mate. Cheers, mate. All right, Andy. We were just speaking before about the prize money. What What do you What is the skiing World Cup prize money? Um from from what I know 49k for when the least money you get like that’s a standard uh venue. Yeah. Schlatting is 69. Kitsville is 100. So yeah it’s big money. Do do you think this should be similar or where do you think mountain bike should stand? Like it’s not going to be skiing money because we don’t have all the um history behind our sport and all the um prestige. Yeah, I would say something around 10k maybe would be a solid one. Yeah. And also it should be further back like not just till 10th place. 10th place you get €200. It’s like for some for some pay for your racing trip. It’s like oh thanks I got some fuel or so for the drive. Um might be able to get halfway home. Well I think maybe prize money for everybody in finals. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like 200 years for 30th or something. That would make sense. in Cyclacross they paid to 30th place in the Cycl World Cup and that makes sense I think um I already told Leo Gang they could sp uh pay more money than other venues I think about it obviously I’m I would be keen to have that you like Leo Gang you’re like yeah this is a good idea I’ll tell good idea good idea uh I think it would be cool as well so if there’s a venue out there would be good media I think imagine if you if you donate to the prize money I saw I saw the um race companion podcast we’re trying to be a bit sneaky and say that anyone that got on the podium gets the 30% increase in their uh prize money that if they give them a mention what in their interview on the interview needs to be more this has to be more because it’s starting to blow but you probably have to mention why T- Mob and a few others first but uh yeah got to praise the Lord all your trainers everybody pro circuit Kavasaki I love those interviews We probably got a a pit board with all the R on it. Yeah, that’s it. No, it mountain biking is good that we don’t have those readouts. Yeah, for sure. I think Burner tried it once. I remember at Hardline was bit was a bit weird. No way. Yeah, couple years ago, like 10 years ago, I remember. Um, no, but I think price money should go up because it’s the same like inflation is bigger than it keeps going. It’s so expensive now. Doesn’t make any sense. So, and and we’re back to the current topic. We’re here in Poland. It’s cold. You’ve probably been riding in the rain quite a bit, so you’re probably excited for a wet one. Uh, I’m excited for every condition to be fair. I love dust is my favorite one. So, it was pretty dusty before. I would have been keen for that, but also wet. I’m pretty good as well. So, I’m stoked. And, um, the new team, the new bike, how’s it going? Yeah, really good. Couple weird people on the team like Ocean, but yeah, otherwise it’s pretty sick. No, bike is sick. Everything just Yeah, dreamy. And Potty’s Coffee. Potty’s Coffee. That’s literally that was number one why I changed teams. Oh, really? Just for the coffee? Yeah, dude. Just for the coffee. Oh, it looks sticky. Yeah. So, yeah. We will see tomorrow, but I think it will be funny and we take it like how is it and yeah. Yeah, we will see during the weekend how how the weather is and yeah, it’s quite hard to walk the track now when you don’t really see how it will be like it’s you walk down it looks nice but it’s not going to be like that. Yeah, we don’t we don’t really know the line. Yeah. And also at the top it’s full sticky and I don’t know we’ll see the first practice tomorrow and but it’s look good and I’m happy to be to be back. Yeah. Finally at the races. It’s it seems like a long offseason but now it’s here. It was super long and it’s exciting to be back. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, good luck at this one and excited to see you in the in the final come Sunday. Yeah. I hope. Yeah. Yeah. Thanks. All right. Good luck. All right. Oh gosh. Our man, our man Cannonball, who got the nickname in Leo Gang last year when he was just sending it with no peak on now landed in the big team. Which team are you in now? Uh, Commensel Schwab by Les. All right. It’s good. It’s a good change. Yeah. And you you’ve got into a big team. How How does that feel like coming from the uh being pretty much kind of a privateeer? Yeah. It’s so good. Like just fresh bikes and support. It’s free. I don’t have to pay anymore. Yeah, it’s good. I love it. Yeah, it’s awesome. And you you’ve been sending it in the offseason. Few good videos. Yeah. Yeah. Got to hang it out for the Instagram clips. But as long as the peak’s on, it’s all good. Yeah. Yeah. Might have to take the peak off this weekend. And we’ll see. Get a bit of cannonball on there. Well, Jack’s coming Sunday to watch after his enduro. He wants to cheer you on. So, yeah. Oh, more. Yeah. I’ll have to be going for it. I want to see some cannonball action, but we don’t want you crashing. Yeah. I’ll just I’ll take it off before practice. No crash. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And are you excited to kick the season off? And then you’re you’re still in the juniors or you up to elite now? Uh second year junior. All right. Second year junior. I’m excited. It was a long off season. So yeah, I’m ready to start racing again. It’ll be fun. And that junior field is pretty strong now. It’s like pretty insane. Yeah, it a lot of juniors. Yeah, it’s good. It’ll be fun. Good balance. I saw I saw 80 juniors on the start list for junior men. Holy crap. It’s crazy. And only 111 elite men. So like compared junior, it’s like pretty. It’s not. Yeah, there’s a lot of juniors. It’s crazy. And now the juniors are becoming like the fastest quite often which is mental. Yeah, it’s good. You love them. Yeah, it’s fun. Whereabouts in the US are you from? Uh Oregon, Mount Hood area. West Coast. Yeah, it’s good. Got some Lmers. Sweet. Heaps of Lmer’s ripping the L, dude. LMR. The man loves a Loma. It’s going to be more than a Loma here this week. Mutter. All right. Well, enjoy the mutter, Bodie Burke. Great to see you on the new team, mate. Yeah, thank you. Cheers. Yeah. Have a good one, bro. Cannonball, let’s go. All right, Lewis, can you give us an update on how the Montre Factory racing team are going this year? Uh, I’m not good with cameras. Can we Wait, I don’t know what to say. Can we cut cut an update on how they’re going? We haven’t started yet. Yeah. Well, how are they going coming in? Like, are they strong, weak, whatever. Ronan’s confident. Pinky is on fire. He’s on fire. Yeah, he is. I mean, fire. Fire. Go Ryan. And he’s got Randy coming here. Yeah, Ry’s coming. And uh yeah, Greg Greg’s eased into the team nicely. So, yeah. Yeah, really good. Really good dynamic. And Deck coming back soon. Do you know anything? Um yeah. Yeah, I think he posted on Instagram that he healed up like much quicker than planned, which is sick. I don’t know exactly when, but he will be in the next few races. All right. I think I’m not sure, but yeah. You’re excited then see Dak back as well? I’m excited to see you again. Are you? Yeah. I’m excited to see you, Louis. It’s been a long time since you were my cameraman, but now I’ve got Agnes behind the camera. Oh, good luck. Yeah. Anyway, it was You’ll be missed. Likewise. I’m missing you. Yeah, I miss the cobles. Very sad. Very sad. Yeah, the cobbles at Perry Rupe when you were white as a ghost. Most pain I’ve ever experienced. Says a man who’s done a double Everest. Yes. All right. Good luck this week. Bro, what’s with the shorts? Well, I don’t own pants like that, so just just run what run what you brought. I thought you’d have your race pants on. I probably should have, but hey, I’ve upgraded the track walk shoes now, but don’t have pants. Don’t have pants yet. We’ll get there. We’re getting there. We’ll get there. Slowly getting the Cali boy out of Cali. No, I always be a Cali boy in Cali. And how was the offseason for you, mate? Yeah, it was super good. Probably one of my best off seasons and uh feeling a lot more prepared than last year. So, really excited. Yeah, ready to send it on. Yeah, it’ll be good in the mud. of uh done better in the mud that so um just kind of not astr but yeah looking forward to it. It’ll be good. Yeah. Well, kicking off with a mudder. You’re pretty much a lot more prepared than you ever were. Yeah, definitely a lot more prepared. So, let’s get after it. Woo! Let’s go shot. All right. All right, Ronan. The Rish GH series looked like went off with a bang. Yeah, it was good crack. Uh yeah, just bit sketchy. So, we’re just Yeah, it was good crack. Good fun racing at home. Well, I said to Ocean that it looked like too many of the young Irish kids have been watching old Ron and done highlight videos. Ah, best off because it’s good to have a crash. Get gets a good video. I think I think everyone was entertained on that Pink Bike video. So, yeah. Yeah, it was good. Yeah. Yeah. [ __ ] they’re not soft. They have a good They got Kerry Gold Butter and they got Irish Milk. They’d be grand. Yeah. And uh you you got the win, but uh it was a tight battle still. Uh it’s just just more going. That was my first race properly since the injury, so I was more just Yeah. Was the rust off? It was more just a bit of crack. It was fun to go race at home. Really? Nothing. Yeah, it was just a good crack. Really? And all all feeling strong now? Yeah. Yeah. Real good. Like good month and a half training. So, I had that little hiatus there for a little bit, but uh yeah, we were prepared. Went offline. We didn’t Yeah, I went offline for a little bit. You did did the motocross thing and didn’t say anything? No, I had a What happened? I broke my back, pelvis, collarbone. Pelvis, collar bone. Yeah. So, I did a few things, but uh no, we had a real good offseason before that point. So, and then it was yeah, we were I think we’re fit enough that we could take a few few weeks off and it didn’t really make a difference. So, yeah, it was nice sitting on the couch. So, yeah, didn’t didn’t you come back pretty uh swinging at that um andor track. You looked like you’re going for it. Yeah, it was just Yeah, it was nice. The tank didn’t forget how to ride bike. It was Yeah, it was grand actually. It wasn’t that long off to really make a difference with anything. So, yeah, it’s just uh Yeah, just Yeah, I was just sitting down. But, uh yeah, stoked to be back here really. It was a good offseason. So yeah, looking forward to getting getting racing really and and good memories from this track last year. Yeah. Yeah, the track looks the exact same to be honest last time I rode it, which is nice. Um yeah, I think we’re going to have a bit of a wetter race, but I think this this place will ride good in the wet as well. So yeah, I’m looking forward to who can’t beat a mudd race. Like it’s always going to be a bit of fun. It It’s a good mix up too, like to start the season. Yeah, I think so. Yeah, definitely mix it all up. But uh yeah, this track it’ll ride good in the wet and if it’s dry, we know it rides good and dry. So I’m just stoked to be here, really. All right. Excited for it. Yeah. Cheers, boss. Sweet. Good to see you, mate. And uh great to see you all healthy and looking strong. Thanks, boss. Yeah, cheers. Cheers. Well, it’s not been cold like this in Scotland. And it’s not cold in Scotland, is it? The UK has been providing recently, mate. Leaving the sun for the snow was a bit depressing. Yeah. Yeah. Not often we get to say that, but but yeah, we’ll take it. We’ll take it. And you’re the fill-in rider, mate. What What’s the story there? Uh I guess we’re getting more of a sport now. So, yeah, fill in rider. Uh yeah. Now, Dak obviously unfortunately got injured, but uh he should be back soon. And uh yeah, that’s it. I’m just I’ll take what I can get. Didn’t have many options last year, so yeah, you landed in a good place anyway for now. Yeah. Yeah, very good place. I’m stoked. Yeah. No, they’ve been very welcoming and yeah, buzzing with it, mate. So, then as a fill in rider, you really have to send it on to uh try and stay there. Yeah. Try and prove to people I’m still fast and Yeah. Yeah. But no, it’s uh something I like to do. So yeah, you’re not going to come here and just cruise down anyway. No, not at all, mate. Not at all. Not at all. Jeez, my nose is running. And and it could be a wet one, so maybe it’s you you’re used to the wet conditions normally. Yeah, usually. But uh haven’t rode in the wet in a while. I was trying to think there it was loser the last time I rode in the rain. Yeah. For the the not a race thing. So yeah, but no, I’m looking forward to it. Yeah. Sick. Awesome. All right. Well, great to see you on this team and uh you enjoying it with Pinky? Yeah, Pinkiey’s entertaining. He’s a legend. He’s a legend. Such a funny guy. He keeps things entertaining, doesn’t he? Yeah, he’s an entertainer for sure. Yeah, the shorts today were probably not the right choice. He gets pretty revved up. He’s pretty excited. Yeah, let’s go. Fire, dude. Fired up, man. Anyway, loving Mountain Dew. Anyway, he doesn’t anymore. He used to drink a lot of that stuff, but we told him not to. No. Yeah. No, not anymore. He’s healthy now. He’s doing well. Yeah. Mhm. And I’m looking forward to see how he goes as well. He’s looking good. Yeah. No. Yeah. What a preseason he’s had. He’s been absolutely rapid from the first team camp. So, yeah. No, it’s good to see. And it’s good to have as a teammate. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sick. Well, good luck to yourself, mate. And look forward to seeing how you go and fill in rider. Cheers, buddy. Cheers, mate. Appreciate it. Cheers. All right. Uh, Jackson, great to see you back at the World Cups. Actually, I was doing a prediction the other day for a podcast of who’s going to be in this race and I sent in my predictions and then I was like, “Shit, I forgot Jackson cuz I had to do a top three prediction and I didn’t add you in there, but then I was like, where do I put him in the top three?” Where would you put yourself at this point? Where would I put myself? I mean, I don’t know. I think everyone’s going to choose How was it? How are you feeling? Yeah. No, I’m feeling good. Um, yeah, really stoked to be back. Um, I was obviously a year and a half off, so you probably forgot about Sorry. Sorry. But I was like, I was like, “Shit, I need to change my predictions.” So, I was going to put you in there. Okay. Um, yeah. No, I’m feeling good. Um, I’ve had like a real good offseason on the bike. Basically, kind of when the season ended last year, like that’s when I was able to start riding and get strong again. So, I was I’ve been riding for the last like five, six months pretty flat out. So, um, yeah, feeling good on the bike. had a, you know, real good time in New Zealand hard line and then uh yeah, home’s been like sick weather at home. So, it’s uh not like this actually. So, I’m I’m like not used to the the wet. So, um yeah, we’ll uh have to see how this goes for for uh practice tomorrow. But, yeah, just stoked to be back, man. Yeah, it’s been too long. And and that hardline victory would have been pretty special to come back with that, you know. Yeah, that one meant a lot for sure. Um, you know, it was just, you know, a full, you know, six, eight months of, uh, of of no riding and and just putting my head down and and, uh, missing out on everything. So, um, you know, to be able to come back to that race and then and then pull off a win was was obviously, you know, massive. So, yeah, that was definitely a big confidence boost. Yeah, probably probably good. Coming into the season, you’ve already done that. You know, you can get get back there and you don’t need to like second guess as much coming into here. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Do do you struggle with that a little bit before Hardline? Like you like where am I going to end up or um or you have you had enough riding? I’m never trying to like predict where I’m ending up. I’m always just trying to do the best I can. You just ride? Yeah. Just trying to ride my Just trying to ride my bike as fast as I can down the hill. That’s that’s what we do. So yeah. So you focus you you mainly focus on yourself. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And like you’d be like how how was it like then coming in to say your first earlier World Cup races? Do you look at everyone around you like, whoa, what are these guys or you like I’m already there? Yeah, I mean I definitely um going back a bit now. Yeah, I mean 2023 I I was definitely trying to take as much information as I could and then now I feel like I’m I’m in a good place and and I know you know what I need to do to to win since I’ve you know um so I think uh yeah, I just got to stick to my plan and and try and uh yeah, just have have as much fun on the bike as I can and yeah, execute. Yeah, definitely. And some new riders in the team. So, you got quite a young team now, which is probably quite fun. Yeah, young team, bigger team as well. We got, you know, bunch more staff, two new riders, and yeah, it’s a real good crew this year. Um, yeah, really, really stoked with the team and we’re all drilling super well and yeah, bike’s feeling super, super good. So, yeah. All right. Excited to get things started here in Poland then. Yeah, super amped. Yeah. All right. Well, good luck and uh great to see you back, mate. I won’t be forgetting you any anytime soon. Cheers, man. Cheers. All right, Cammy. Uh the World Cup’s back on and you’re in a new team and we’re here in Poland and it’s pretty cold. Oh yeah, it is. Yeah. Know new change this year. Big change. Everything is different but super excited. Yeah. And uh over to the Yeti Fox team now. Yeah. Yeah. How is that so far? Really good. I mean the bike is awesome. The crew is awesome. But everything is new and I pretty much see them. I mean I’ve seen them for a week in Roa but that’s it. So everything is pretty new and I’m going to learn a bit how it’s going to be in the in the pit and like Yeah, cuz everything is new. So yeah, but excited for for a new season. Oh yeah, for sure. No, especially because I’m healthy again and top firm. So super exciting to to be here. Feeling feeling good coming in now? Really good. Yeah, really good off season. Never had any issues or sickness or whatsoever. Could ride as much as I wanted. Train. So no, I’m super stoked. All right, perfect. and uh all the changes this year. What do you think? Um for the rules changes for the quality and stuff, I really like it. I think it’s really fair. It’s way more fair than it used to be. Uh so it’s going to be sick. Uh for the rounds, we have more rounds. I think it’s going to be cool, too. What else do we change? There’s more girls in the finals, so that’s a good Yeah, true. We to the number. Yeah. Yeah. Why Why did they not do that before? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And we’ve been pushing for two years now and I’m happy it works out and yeah, we we send them a lot of statistic and everything and so yeah. No, we’re back to 15 and yeah, that’s that’s great. For sure. Yeah, really good because the women’s field just keeps getting stronger. Oh yeah, for sure. Stronger and tighter and the the new generation is coming and Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, for sure. It’s going to be super interesting. All right. Well, good luck this weekend and uh look forward to see how you go on the new team. Thank you. Me, too. Thank you. You didn’t even know who your team manager Steve Pete was? What? What? No, no, no. Yeah, I only met him the other day. No, I knew him from Gamble. From Gamble Film, which is only a couple years ago. I only started racing in like 2020 and that’s when I started like watching Downhill as well. So, really? So, Gamble Film is your history of downhill? Yeah, literally. Really? I don’t even know when Gamble Film was, but it’s not historic. I’m sorry to let everyone down, but it’s qu It must be quite crazy to progress to this level in the sport so quickly. Yeah, it feels pretty insane. I mean, it’s definitely happened really quickly. Not easily. Definitely not smooth sailing. Um, never is in the sport. Yeah, never is. But we’re healthy now. Yeah. Had a decent off season considering some things. And yeah, I mean, I’m pretty proud, pretty stoked. We’ll just see how it goes. going to trust the process build and yeah I mean I’ve got such a good team and such good support so I’m pretty happy. Yeah. Is it a dream to end up on the syndicate for you? Yeah literally is. How long did you know about the syndicate team? Only a few years as well. Just the other day, you know. Last week. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. When when you signed the contract? Yeah. That looks like a good team. They look like good fun. They eat lots of chocolate. Yeah. I’ll go with them. Is that how it works? It’s a chocolate. Yeah, that’s what it’s based off of. The race fuel. Yeah. All right. Well, it looks like a good team anyway. So, um should be a good start to the season for you here in Poland. Yeah, definitely. Just going to have fun, ride my bike, do what I’m good at and enjoy the track cuz it’s a freaking sick track and it’s a cool place. Make the most of it. Yeah. Maybe in the evenings you could polish up on your downhill history. Yeah, I’ll work on it. You have to watch some old school PD races because there’s some good ones. Yeah. Yeah. The old old school bikes. Is that right? Yeah. Okay. It’s changed a little bit since then, but still good to know what what what sport you’re doing, you know? Yeah. All right. Anyway, good luck this weekend and I look forward to seeing you go well. Thank you very much. Cheers. Do you like doing interviews or not? Um, or is it easy now? It It’s gotten a lot easier. Was it difficult at first to do interviews? Yes, it was. Yeah. And it was for myself, too. Like now I do him now. I do the interviews, but at the start I was a bit of a um deer in the headlights when I was younger. Yeah. I feel like I was maybe the same way. How is it on this new team? It’s sick. I have no complaints. Yeah. It’s must be nice coming to such a team. Yeah. No, it’s a lot easier. You don’t have to stress as much. So that’s definitely a lot. It’s nice. It’s you can focus a lot more and and Fab behind the behind the scenes, he’s really pointing you at the lines and telling you where to uh be dynamic. Yeah. And no, he’s definitely helped like guide me so I don’t have to overthink a line too much. Kind of just helps me know where to go. Yeah. And you’ve already had a pretty good race coming into the season you had um over in the US. Yeah, I’ve had a couple good races. I’m definitely stoked on them. I feel really good coming into the season, so I’m excited. Sweet. Excited for the uh season to finally kick off then? Yeah, I’ve been waiting a long time for this, so I’m really excited. Yeah. All right. Well, good luck for this one and uh look forward to seeing you. You go down. Did you know of Fabian Burrell as a younger rider? Did you know did you know of him? I’ve heard of him a couple times, but I didn’t know him too well. Like like not a not as a person, but like as a rider back in the day. Did you know him? Yeah, I heard his name a couple times, but not too much though. Really? No, I’ve heard Who’s this Fabian guy? Yeah. Right. When I first met him, he was Yeah, he was he definitely knew what he was talking about. Yeah. So, I like he must know. Yep. Yep. Pretty much. This is pretty funny because we just interviewed Ellie and she didn’t really know who Steve Pete was. So, that’s actually surprising because I feel like everyone knows who Steve Pete is. Yeah. So, you knew Steve, but not so much, Fabe. Uh, yeah, a little bit. But I kind of I feel like I would kind of put them together a bit, but yeah, I’ve heard more Steve Pete than And now you’re working on your downhill history as you go through. Yep. Learning something every day. All right, sweet. Well, good luck here in Poland and enjoy this one on the new team. Thank you very much. This is your first Elite World uh in Junior World Cup. First one. Yep. First one. First one and straight in the big team, so it must be nice. Yeah, it’s a lot easier. Yeah. Yeah. Well, good luck. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. All right. Well, well, you do a good job of it. You’re very dynamic with your vocabulary. I try to I try to be very precise so people can understand me. Yeah. No, I like it. I like and I like the enthusiasm that goes into it. For sure. You know, 30 year this year. First World Cup 1995 in Capdai. Yeah. And look 20 2025 year and you’re still here and still here enjoying it. Same passion for details to be able to uh not ride myself but make the rider as fast as we can. Yeah. Crazy, isn’t it? I was just actually speaking with Altha and she didn’t really know of Fabian Burrell. So, it’s crazy how far the sport has come and how these young riders coming in now don’t really know the history. Well, they they were not even born when we were racing. So, I was I was talking to Lucio in the gondola and when I talk about my first World Cup, he say I was not even born. So, you can you can imagine that it’s back in the days. But, you know, even if generations are different, the passion is still the same. Uh we we get a chance to have a fantastic sport that is evoluting again this year a lot and uh the tracks are are brilliant. So, it be another epic season. Yeah. What do you think of the uh evolution for this season? The changes and so on like what do you think? I I see that in a very good high. I think the sport is aiming to a certain amount of professionalism and it goes through the organization, the promoters, the brand, the teams and I think everyone is pushing boundaries everywhere and I’m glad to see the sport growing so much and uh the level of racing obviously has been insane for years and this professional will only increase the show and and those uh and those performance and tight times that we see every weekend. And how do you think this one’s going to be in the wet? It’d be interesting. I mean, so far I would say the grip is not too bad. We will see, I think, a lot of ruts coming after training which going to make uh momentum key uh to be able to release the brake at the right time to carry speed into those ruts. But globally, I would say so far so good. It will be an excellent track as we as we seen last year. Be exciting. Oh yeah, always. And uh we’re going to have to stay dynamic in the ruts. Yeah, we stay dynamic. Show me how dynamic you are. Show it. Oh yeah, pretty good. Pretty good. Yeah. I’m not going to bring We’re going to bring you dancing yet for an old dog. For an old dog. Pretty good, eh? We are. We are. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Cheers. Cheers, mate. All right. Should we kick this off? All right, Tonnie. New year, new bike, new team. Back at the World Cup. Yeah. Yeah. Fresh. All starts again. Yeah. It’s nice cuz when you get into your 12th year in elite, it’s nice to kind of freshen things up, you know. Yeah. Yeah. You Well, the change is is good, isn’t it? Yeah, it is good. Yeah. And uh Yeah. How is the new bike? How’s the new team? the new track, everything. Yeah, good. It was a lot of work over the off season, but I think now we’re here, it feels feels like it was all worth it. It was just so much went into it. Like, I’m not sure if you’ve seen how skinny Tony is now. No, I’m going to go and catch up with him later, though. I want to see see this truck that he’s Did he build it? Yeah, he did from Did you Were you on the tools as well? No, no, I was not. Why not? I think he wouldn’t really allow me to go and see it cuz then I complain about what’s wrong. Really? Yeah. No, he’s done a really good job. like him and like two other people. Like one of our mates is a good welder, the other one’s a carpenter. So yeah, build a racetrack from scratch. Exactly. They love it though. Well, I think they hated each other for a long time, but I think they’re really proud of what’s come from it. It It looks good. Yeah, we’ll go and see it later, but yeah, well done to Tony, then. Thank you. And you behind the scenes, I guess. Yeah, just pointing and uh yeah, excited to be back here and and probably what’s going to be tough conditions this week. Yeah, I think to be honest on track wall now I’m thinking it’s not as bad as I expected it to be. I mean it was snowing up top, but I don’t know. We go down the better it gets. Yeah, I think the top will be a bit slow, bit chewed up, but it rained last year and after a couple of runs you kind of got into it. Yeah. Yeah. So, you’re excited for this one then? I mean, all we’ve done is ride in the wet all off season. Every time we left the UK, it just pissed it down anywhere else. So, yeah. And every time we’re in the UK, it was sunny. It’s been so good. It’s like 20° at home right now. Yeah. I’m like gutted. So annoyed. Yeah. Yeah. It is hard leaving the UK in the sun to come to somewhere snowing. It’s so rare. Like you have to try and make the most of it. You like wake up every day like sunny again. I got to go and do something. I was just trying to tan to be honest. Yeah. Like you people should not be coming from the UK with a suntan. normally. Yeah. But I I do love it. Yeah. Anyway, good luck for this one and uh yeah, kick the season off well. Thanks, man. How is it with party muddy in the team? I think he’s like trying to keep it in at the moment. Maybe as the season goes along. No, it’s normally after the race when he has like two beers, but we haven’t had a race yet. So, he has a good race and he has two beers. Party Marty comes out. The driving is questionable. Yeah, he’s a fast driver, isn’t he? Fast. Yeah. Were you scared? I’m scared. I would prefer to anyone but him driving. Yeah, I’ve been scared a couple of times with party muddy behind the wheel. He’s a Belgian He’s a Belgian rally driver. Yeah, he should be in in a rental car. He loves a curb as well. He loves the handbrake. He loves Loves a roundabout. Like the central part of a roundabout. Yeah. Anyway, well, he’ll keep things exciting for you anyway. Yeah, he does. And and some new people in the team. That’s probably cool. Yeah. No, it’s cool. Super cool. All right. Well, good luck. Good luck. No way. Did you find it? Yeah. Oh, the man. We literally owe him something. Can How about How about a left hand brake lever? Where did you find it? Uh, in the bush. In the bush. We This was our microphone. This is This is I don’t know. We stopped. We stopped cuz our microphones overcooled and they had to be recharged. And you found our brake lever in the bush. Yeah, found a brake lever. and then came down and saw you without a bike part attached to your microphone and was like, “No way. You’ve saved our day. Thanks very much.” And uh yeah, we owe you big time. Couple beers. You You drink beer? Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, we’ll sort that out. Cheers. Cheers. Cheers. All right, Martin. Uh first time here in Poland for the downhill. And now you’re a full-time downhill rider. Yeah, finally. Yeah. After 12 years of indoor racing, it was uh I think time for a change personally. Yeah. Find a new motivation, a new discipline, ride on a new bike, a new format. Um, yeah, I’m really excited about this change. Yeah. And how has it been adapting to the new team? H, it’s a lot of new things, you know, new people, big trucks. Um, also new bike uh to set up. So, it’s been uh it’s been a productive winter and I’m excited to see what uh we can pull out for this race here in Poland. You’re you’re off the ebike now. Yeah, it’s not anymore an ebike. Uh, but we we got a lot of knowledge the last few years riding the ebikes at at the downhill. Also the rand back in Lords in 2022. So, a lot of knowledge and the engineers were able to to build a brand new bike from scratch. So, excited to to put it against the time now. All right. It’s it’s going to be a good weekend here in Poland. Probably a bit wet, too. You like a wet race, don’t you? I do like a wet race and I do like to put some flats on. So hopefully it keeps it keeps raining, keeps snowing and uh see on Sunday what happen. Oh, flat pedal thunder. Yeah. I love it. You know when when the conditions are a little bit more unpredictable. Uh I feel like the flats um are just above, you know. Yeah. Yeah. You can you can send it into things a little bit harder and know that you’ll be able to ride it out. Yeah. you commit and you don’t think, oh, what about if I lose traction here? What do I do with my clip? You know, just straight on the floor. So, we’ll see. We’ll see the weather. It seems like it’s changing quite a bit now. So, we’ll see tomorrow. All right. Well, great to see you at the downhill, mate. And, uh, excited to see you as a full-time downhill rider now. Thanks, Going to be a good addition to the show and also for the all the fans from uh around Belgium. Blue Gum got someone to cheer for on the downhill now. Absolutely. And they can they can watch it on screen now. So yeah, no exciting. Yeah. Or is it is you have to pay in Belgium or how does it work? I think on the Euro Sport too on TV. It’s for free there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. They’re lucky then. See you. Winner. Good to see you, too, mate. It was always a good time on the Good Times tour with you, mate. Oh, mate. We had some good times. Yeah, we did. If only we could tell all those stories, but we won’t. They’ll save them for a rainy day. It wouldn’t be too long. Cheers, mate. New addition to the Or FMD team. What’s your name, mate? Uh, Dara. And you’re from Ireland? I am. Yeah, I am. How’s it going on the new team? Yeah, sick. Um, pretty spoiled. New truck. Yeah, first World Cup and have that set up. It’s pretty sick. But yeah, going well. Excited. Excited for your first uh Junior World Cup? Yeah, very especially that track. Looks [ __ ] sick. So, yeah, extremely. And Ronin won on this track, too. Is that that motivated? Good for the Irish. So, yeah. Yeah. Must be good for the Irish. Yeah. Hopefully we can keep her lit. Yeah. All right. Excited for your first racing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Really looking forward to the season now. So, and enjoying being in the team with Party Marty. Party Marty is a loose con. So, it’s got crack. Keeps the keeps the vibes up. Yeah. It’s good. Funny con. So, he’s he’s good value, isn’t he? He’s very good value. Very good value. Yeah. Sweet. All right. Well, good luck for your first race, mate. And great to see another Irishman out out there doing it. Cheers, mate. Thank you. Cheers. All right, Joe. Uh, can you talk us through your bike here, mate? Yes, absolutely. This is the new prototype Intense M1 gate belt drive and gearbox, pinning gearbox. Yeah. And what’s on your handlebars? Um, oh, can’t summarize them quickly. Something to reduce my arm pump and hand fatigue. Basically, I can just hold on loose and my arms stay in the same place and I can just, yeah, relax and not get fatigued. All right. And, uh, yeah. What’s your favorite thing about this new system? Uh, where the weight is. where the weight is in the silence. It’s just so dialed. Momentum carrying unbelievable suspension feels unbelievable. Um yeah, it’s just the comfort, grip, and ultimately speed really. That’s what we’re all after is it? Yeah. So excited to kick off the new season then. Yeah, hyped. We haven’t had much time on the bike at all. It’s been uh you know, it’s going to be learning on the job, that’s for sure. But I just can’t wait to get on World Cup tracks. I think that that this is where like these type of tracks where this thing is going to come alive. The faster the rougher the better it’ll be. So, it’s hard to assimulate that, you know, in testing, but I think, yeah, getting on to these tracks now would be amazing. All right. Well, excited to kick it all off here in Poland, mate. Yeah, hype. Thank you. All right. Good luck. Cheers, mate. All right. Straight from the enduro, winning the first of the EDRs in Petra. And now here in the snow of Poland. Yeah, it’s definitely a bit different here and kind of uh just trying not to turn into an ice cube. Yeah, it’s pretty cold. It is really, really cold. It was snowing at the top. So, not what I was expecting when we said we’re coming to Poland. Yeah. But, uh, you you ready for this one? You excited to go on the downhill? Yeah, I’m really excited. Like, I spent a lot of time on my downhill bike this winter, so I feel actually more prepared for this than I did last week. So, hopefully it’ll be good fun. Yeah. And happy to pull off the win last week. Yeah, that was really cool. I wasn’t expecting it. And I I was just there really for some fun. I mean, it’s not what I was focusing on this year. So, I was very very pleasantly surprised that it it went as well as it did. Yeah. Well, then uh should be good this week as this is the focus. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So, hopefully uh this uh I don’t disappoint. Well, no pressure. You still just enjoy riding your bike. Yeah, exactly. Always not going to do anything different. And you’ve pretty much done every single discipline of bike riding there is. Have you done BMX? No, I’ve never been on a BMX bike. That’s the only one. You might need to enter a BMX race. I don’t think so. I don’t think anyone needs to see that. So, it’s road racing, cyclross, cross country, downhill, enduro. What else? I had to go on a track bike over the winter as well. Track cycling. Yeah. Not actually competitively. Well, you could you could maybe. Yeah, maybe we find out one day. Yeah. What? Madison or something? I don’t know what you’re just Oh, maybe an individual event. The Madison. Isn’t that where they throw each other around? Yeah. No, maybe like a time trial. I could do that. Yeah. All right. Well, it’s nice to see someone doing all the disciplines and doing well at them all. Oh, thank you very much. There’s not many riders that do more than one discipline. No, I guess not really. Yeah. Although Richie’s coming for this one as well, I believe. So, yeah. And Martin, of course. Yeah. So, um that’s cool as well. I mean, fingers crossed for them this week. It’s good. But no one coming over from cross country, so that’s pretty special. Oh, yeah. True. Yeah. Not really. Well, you could have a go if you wanted. Don’t know if I want to have a go across country. It’s never too late. Hey, Nova Mesto’s next week. Yeah. Yeah. I’ll get an entry in. Anyway, good luck this week. Thank you very much. Cheers. Cheers. All right, Benoir, new team, new year, and uh back at the same races. Yeah, same races, but but a bit colder. Yeah, we had some snow this morning, but Mhm. We will see. How is it? You like the snow? No. I prefer the dry. Yeah. No, I don’t like when it’s too cold and everything. It just like very physical and Yeah. And uh how’s the new team been so far? Honestly, it’s uh really good. Uh the the transfer, the connection was pretty good. Um Scott did everything to have everything like the bike and we did earlier team comp. So, it was pretty easy for me. I bring a lot of people from my team like physio, media, mechanic, technician. So it’s pretty good. Yeah, for me it was pretty easy. And uh how were the team camps? I heard that you were the rider that does the most runs at the team camp. Uh yeah. Yeah. This year uh we did lot of like we in the team we had two rider was injured. So the demo of the new bike was a lot of my on my shoulder. So I did a lot lot of runs. How many how many runs the most runs you did in one day? Uh it depend of the track between 10 and 17. 17 is the record. Yeah. On which track you do 17? Like some French track in Lon. Yeah. Uh in Pak Park. Yeah. It’s quite a lot. Yeah, it’s quite a lot. Yeah. You like to you like to do a lot of runs? I just like to you know when it’s day of work I like to do everything. Yeah. Everything I I can you have like the team the mechanic are there for you. So you need to be to work for for them you know. Did you used to have a job before racing? You had a you had a job at any point? Um I did one winter some it’s hard in English for me but it was manitent. It was manitention. Manitention. Yeah. I don’t Does Flo know know what manion is? It’s like um you explain this. It was industrial clean. Industrial clean. Climbing. No. Cleaning. Cleaning. No. No. Um, it’s like the opposite of heater. Heater. Heater. Cooling. Yeah. Oh, cooling systems. Yeah. For industrial. So, we need to Yeah. Climate. Climate. Yeah. Yeah. It do a lot of stuff for that. Yeah. It was a heavy. And And then you know, you know what a hard day at work is. So, 17 runs is a good day. Yeah. Yeah. But honestly, it was a long time ago. It was like 10 years ago I think. So I don’t remember a lot but you know uh in the past I was in a small team and everything and when you have everything I like to to work and also like the mechanic and everyone like Scott prepares some stuff for you and I really want to to try it and you know they they are there for you so you need to be ready and so then you’re excited to be here at the first race And hopefully all the uh offseason work pays off. Uh yeah. Yeah. I’m really exciting to to show the work we did this winter. Yeah, sure. All right. Well, I’m excited to see you on track. And it also could be quite wet up there. Could be could be wet. Oh, yeah. Really wet. You You like a wet track, too? Yeah. Like I like it. This on the track like this is cool because it’s more challenging. I think the track is a bit I don’t know. On the track is is a bit easy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think it’s it’s going to be better for racing. Make a bit more separation in the times. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, good luck this weekend and great to see you here, mate. See you later. Cheers. Cheers, mate. All right, Locky. Uh, new team, but we’re back at the same venue where you were pretty close to the win last year. Yeah. And yeah, I’m happy to be back. New team, heaps of shit’s changed, but it’s all the same. Yeah, I’m the same. You didn’t change like too much as far as the bike goes? No, no, no, no. All pretty much all my stuff’s chang all the people are good anyway. So yeah, for me not much has changed. Enjoying it so far. Yeah, no big time. Just just uh pretty lucky. Yeah, to be honest. So yeah. Yeah, just enjoying it. Not nothing to worry about. No, just enjoy it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. And uh the track could be a bit wet this week, but um probably make it a bit more interesting. Yeah. No, I thought it looked good. It was soft. I when I saw it, I went riding and saw it and um it looked real hard. Yeah. And just baked. So when I saw that and saw it was going to rain, I was like, “Fuck, it might be a bit.” But after walking it, it’s soft and I think it’ll cut up good. It’ll be get holy and get rough and get some ruts in it, but it’ll make it a better track, I think. And make it a bit of fun. I love the wear. So yeah, it’s a bit more exciting. Yeah. No, for sure. And it gives a bit more separation too to the racing. Yeah, I think so. I think if you can ride it good like Yeah. Not everyone’s just who can [ __ ] get away with holding it wide open. Yeah. You have to actually be a bit more calculated and really work out what you’re doing. Yeah. Yeah. No, I agree with that. You’re excited? Big time. Can’t wait. I just want to go riding now. Yeah. Really? The season’s been a long time coming then. Yeah. Yeah. But then at the same time, like MSA doesn’t feel like that long ago, but then you kind of think about everything that’s happened in between and there’s been a lot lot lot go on before this year. So, I think we’re in a pretty good spot. All right. And yeah. All right. Well, I’m excited to watch on uh Sunday and see how it all goes down, mate. Cheers, man. Good luck. Thank you. Cheers. All right, Bernie. Should we drop the hands now? Are we ready? There we go. Drop the hands. Oh, it’s my resting position. Are they Are they quite sore? Those uh Yeah, they’re sore and cold right now cuz I did track walk. So, this is like way comfier than it looks, unfortunately. But, uh not quite the prep for the season. It was all done. The prep, dude. The was probably the last day, wasn’t it? It was. Now, we had two days, Saturday and Sunday. It was the last piece of the puzzle. Go somewhere new, ride a new track, have some fun, do some laps, get some content, and it all went tragically wrong for myself and Ryan. Lucky, dude. We’re walking. We’re going to be okay. Didn’t break a femur or neck or anything. So, quite a shame. Worse than quite a shame. Yeah. But we’re here alive and kicking and it’s going to bring some good news to the to the pits. What what is the good news? The good news is we have got a fill in rider in the name of Roger Vieiraa. We’re going to introduce him in a sec on Win TV. This is one This is the first exclusive interview. We haven’t done ours yet. We’re going to beat you to putting it out, but this is a Win TMZ exclusive that Roger Vieier is going to be filling in for us on Pivot Factory Racing for most of the season. Yeah, he was a private Yan GT. Obviously, that bike brand’s gone under, so we are going to step in and help him out. And he’s been riding really good lately. got second at the national on the weekend, third in the Sarah Bajo in Mexico. Yeah. And now we think he’s got what it takes to go to the next level. And uh yeah, his first taste for him of a factory team. Yeah, dude. He was supposed to be pitting out a van this weekend. Now he’s under the bus. He’s got microwave in there. Is that good? I don’t know. Warm heated stuff. So yeah, hopefully it’s going to be a rad experience. He’s not having a cold lunch. He’ll be good. Yeah, warm lunch. And it’ll be cool to add him on with. Obviously, we got Remy and Jenna hang holding it down already, but adding him in with them should be really good for the year. Sweet. Well, great to make the best of a bad situation. Really? Exactly. Best of a bad situation. Silver lining, but it’s awesome. We can still get the bike used and h get someone out on track. Get another out on track. And Brazil’s going to have a breakdown over this. Exactly. I think is he the first factory rider from Brazil maybe? No. Markoff [ __ ] dog. Okay. But it’s a long long time. Long time between drinks for Brazil. So they’re coming back to the table. Brazil with the fill in rider. Yeah. Come on. Come on, Raj. Oh, look at him. He’s looking fatter already. Look at that. Yeah. What’s happened, mate? Yeah, man. Crazy. Uh, still not believe it really, but um yeah, just got this opportunity Bernard gave me. Uh, super stoked. Super I also wanted to make sure I thank all my other sponsors that let me go and um yeah, do this and get this opportunity. So, they let me me do this. So, it’s pretty cool and uh yeah, thanks a lot to Bernardet as well for letting me let me be a factor rider which has been a dream dream coming true really. Uh dream from off this since my childhood and uh it’s pretty much been my my life goal all my life and to to be here now and uh be representing people factor racing is um yeah unreal really pretty pretty special mate is pretty special. Yeah. Yeah. No, it’s it’s crazy man. Yeah. And uh yeah, Brazil’s going to have a meltdown over this to see a guy in a factory team from Brazil. They’ll definitely be really stoked. So be ready for a lot of Brazilian flags on the comments. Drop the Brazilian flags. We need the comments. So all the fans from Brazil get behind him. This is going to be exciting and it’s cool to see you Bernard making the most of a bad situation. Yeah, definitely. Yeah, like big shout out to Bernard for giving me this opportunity and um yeah, let’s make the best of it. Uh let’s go out there. No pressure. First time on the bike. It will be this weekend. So, still getting used. It’s a new machine. Everything’s new. Kit’s new. Bike, suspension, tires, everything’s new. So, um it’ll take a bit to get used to it, but um I’m sure uh we’ll do very well on it. Perfect. Well, it’s I love to see it for you and I’m stoked to see your dreams come true, mate. Oh, man. Thank you very much. And thank you. You as well. You’ve been part of this journey as well. you helped me many times and uh yeah, I appreciate all that and u yeah let’s roll good the good times now and yeah on the pivot. All right well enjoy it mate. Cheers. Thank you a lot. Thank you. Woo. Anyway, Richie uh first race as a full-time downhill rider. How is it? Oh yeah. Here we are. Time to start the year, you know. Yeah, I’m stressed a bit for sure, but uh yeah, I’m looking forward to it. Some East Coast conditions up there. Yeah, a bit wet. Dirt’s a bit soft and some rocks. Yeah, it kind of looks a bit east coasty, but yeah. Yeah, platicle. Bit of platicle with some uh bit bit of shell around there for sure. Got to bring back, you know, bring back the memories from a long time ago. I don’t know. Track looks good. Um looking forward to it. And it looked good last year. So, yeah. Feeling good to be back at down in World Cup. It is. It kind of feels good to be a part of the, you know, the bigger show and everything. So, yeah. Still going to do a few enduros. What’s the plan? I just did Petra last weekend. I know. Yeah. Um but yeah, that’s going to be the only one aside from trying to do worlds. So yeah, big commitment to uh the full DH this year. Yeah, except for Yeah, I’ll miss LJ, but All right. Yeah. And then we got um Martin doing it, too. So it’s pretty cool for the Endura crew. Yeah, he looks like he’s had a good couple weeks of preseason, so I think he’s going to be going pretty quick. Yeah, he’ll love it in the wet, too. So Oh, yeah, for sure. Should be good. Yeah, you’re excited then. Yeah, definitely. Get it going? Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, good luck and uh great to see you here as a downhill rider now. Thank you. Cheers, mate. Thank you. All right. Well, that wraps up everything from Trackwalk Day here in Poland. It’s been a cold one and it looks like there’s a bit more rain coming, so it’s going to be a wild race. Looking forward to it and we’ll see you on Sunday. Over and out from Wind TV. Cheers.
