Hi! I found this bike at my local recycling center and bought it for $10 CAD. I would like to have an estimate of the production date, and if possible, the brand of the frame. Any info would be much appreciated! Unfortunately, there are no decals and no more head tube badge (it might have been repainted). My guess is that it was a local racer bike from the 70's. I'm located in Canada (province of Québec) if that helps.
Components :
- Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset (2×5 speed)
- Campagnolo crankset
- Weinmann 605 brakes
- 3TTT Gran-Prix quill stem
- Campagnolo headset
- Serial number is 72A2904, located on the seat tube (does that mean it is a 1972 frame?)
- 24 stamped on BB shell
- Campagnolo dropouts (fork and rear)
- Campagnolo seat post
- Two horizontal holes on the head tube, probably from a head badge
- Mavic tubular rear wheel (front wheel is a basic clincher, so might have been replaced)
- BB shell looks like 68 mm from what I measured
