7 Years with the All-City Gorilla Monsoon! This steel bike means a lot to me and in this video I unpack it all. From it’s monstercross roots to it’s all terrain bike capabilities. It’s been everything to me from a gravel grinder to a road bike, this bike can truly do it all. We take a closer looks at all of it’s custom components from brands like White Industries, Thomson, Sim Works, Nitto, Wilde Bikes, and more! This bike also was the gateway to my alt-cycling journey so I figured a loveletter was better than just a bike review. Join me on a few bike rides around Ottawa while we talk it out!

  1. GOOD. AFTERNOON. SIR. NIKE. BREATH. WELCOME TO LUKBAN PROVINCE OF QUEZON PHILIPPINE MABUHAY ON MAY 15 2O25 PAHIYAS FESTIVAL HERE IN LUKBAN PROVINCE OF QUEZON PHILIPPINE MABUHAY ☮️👍👍☮️❤️😊

  2. I feel everything you're saying in this video. For me, it was my Priority Hot Sauce. It helped me rediscover the joy of cycling. I find myself grabbing that instead of any of my other bikes, no matter what type of riding I happen to be doing.

  3. Engineers Flat Bar Tip: put in a 26 inch rear with fat tire; watch the weight, it needs to be light. It will be much more stable downhill and will feel much more snappy. TPU Tubes are also very very nice.

  4. Thinking of putting Rene Herse knobbies on a city bike but worried it will only be used on gravel 30% of the time. Did you ride your Umtanum ridge alot on road? Did it wear quickly? Grip?

  5. Ive never understood selling bikes. Maybe i don't ride a frame for 7 years, thats okay its all a cycle so ill have my old bikes to go back to. Plus with geometry changes you really need old frames to keep the feeling alive.

  6. I love this video because of the journey to find that bike for yourself that gives you the feels. I am in a similar journey myself to find that bike for my road/gravel use/bikepacking use. I just sold my Cutthroat, which I thought would be that bike, and bought a Cervelo Aspero that is so contratarian that I am questioning if this was the right choice. Oh well, part of all of this is the journey.

  7. Hey! I got a speedy gravel bike, my wife bought an All City all steel bike. I’m jealous every ride together, this is 6 years later lol.
What rack and light do you have on the front of this? It’s awesome!

  8. I'm not sure if this was the intention, but I sense the essence of the classic ATB Klunker in this bike, reimagined. When I eventually stop travelling with my reliable steel bike, this will inspire me for its next chapter

  9. I love the video and the bike, for now I only have a gravel bike to go to college and also do routes, but I would love to have something like this to move around the city.

  10. That sort of child-like discovery happened to me when I got my Surly Krampus. I was a bike messenger for years and always rode single speed and fixed gear bikes because they were the simplest tool for the job. After moving on from messengering, I got a mountain bike but I never rode it outside trails. One afternoon, I just felt the urge to go for a pavement ride on my Krampus and it changed everything. Turns out the best bike is the one you have the most fun on. Now I ride my Krampus on the pavement all the time. It's not the most efficient or the most fast, but it's the one the puts the biggest smile on my face.

  11. I’ve owned a space horse since 2011, have had so many other steel frame bikes. But that bike is still with me, Vancouver > Portland, Pitt>DC, Katie trail and countless rides, it’s carried kids, done a ton of gravel, and is currently the only bike I own.

  12. I love how the music is so heavy for what is the most cute hobby we can have 🙂 riding bikes in the forest like elves hahah love this community. Never change peeps never change <3

  13. That original GM paint is sooo nice. Wanted one like crazy in 18 but was very broke, and AC made like 100 total lol . Maybe my fav colorway of any production bike ever
