With it being the May bank holiday we planned a cycle tour of London. Starting in Richmond Park for some chat laps, we then head over to a great coffee stop in Putney called Kaffee. From there we head out to Regent’s Park for a lap of the outer and inner circle, before heading over to Via a great little cycle destination in Kings Cross. After a browse we head down to Popham’s Bakery, which is one of the best spots for a toasted sandwhich in London. After the feed, we then head south to the river and take the North Embankment back over to Richmond. All in all an incredible tour of London!

[Music] So, uh, in London today, uh, me and Ed are going to do a tour of London. We are going to take a Richmond Park, Regent’s Park. Uh, we got a few cafes, a bakery. Uh, hoping to have a real adventure. Uh, Ed Morning. Here we are again. This time I think this is third weekend on trot, isn’t it? Third weekend on Trent, uh, Yorkshire and now my backyard, uh, London. Richmond Park. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, we’re here in Richmond Park for the start. Going to do a few laps. We might see Norbert as well. Hopefully, uh, famous for the, uh, appearance in the Bland big day out video, last out. Uh, but yeah, first mission is to try and find some we can take a wee. This guy pisses like a camel. I, I do camel. But that’s we’re we’re oversharing now. But I feel like uh you know I feel like you should know that. You should know that about me. Was it shut? No, it’s open. Okay, cool. In which case, I’m going to leave you. We’re going to have some fun. We got to figure out where Norbert is. He’s here somewhere. He’s probably doing laps at the park at like 45 miles an hour knowing Norbert. But uh but yeah, going to have fun today. [Music] Richmond Park. Deer everywhere. Bikes everywhere. Smooth tarmac. It’s a bit like being in Zift, but in real life, every time someone goes by, you want to kind of flip on their tail and give it a push. Well, we’re doing easy laps today, so resisting that urge. We got Nora with us. One lap, we’ll do another lap. So, we’re just doing chat laps at the moment. It’s great fun. [Music] [Music] Is that it? Hello. Laps of the park done. Yeah. Two laps done. Did you have fun? Yeah, it felt good. Felt easy after last week. Yeah. Yeah, it was pretty good actually. Pretty good fun. Bit nippy. I mean, uh, of course. SL, short armed, short legs, bit cold, but soon as we got the laps in, pace picked up, blood temperature picked up. Had a good time. Now for some cake, or maybe a sausage roll or maybe both. So, we’ve had coffee at cafe in Putney. It’s a coffee shop in a church. Uh, it’s really cool. Really, really good coffee. Really, really good cake. Norbert is now going to leave us because he has a jetet lifestyle. He’s like flying off somewhere, you know, really glamorous later on today. Glamorous. So, uh, he’s going to Stockholm. Uh, so it’s just me and Ed. Ed, where are we going next? Home. No, we’re going Where are we going? Regent Park. North. All right. So, Ed doesn’t know where we’re going. We’re going We’re going north to uh Regents Park. We’re going to take in an lap of the outer loop and a lap of the inner loop. Again, I’ve never done that before, so that’s a first. And then we’re going to go from there to Via Ailia, a cycle shop in King’s Cross. So, yeah, looking forward to [Music] it. Heat. Heat. [Music] So, we are in the outer circle of Regent’s Park doing our first lap. [Music] [Music] That’s uh that’s a bit short. One complete lap of the inner circle and one complete lap of the outer circle. Job done. Job done. Complete. I’m going to say Richmond is better. But the inner circle is pretty cool actually. Yeah. Like if you were coming to just do laps, go for speed. This is brilliant cuz there’s no cars when there are no cars. Yeah, when there are no cars. He says there’s a car right there, but you know what I mean. For London as well, caveat that. Yeah, nice smooth tarmac. It’s what, a kilometer, I think. So, there thereabouts. I don’t know. But yeah, nice and dead circular as well, which is geometrically pleasing. Yes. But now we’re going to go to Viet Vietilia. Vatilia King’s Cross for we for a wei and a coffee. So see you [Music] there. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] So, we are uh stopped at Poppam’s Bakery in Islington. Uh we’ve got some toasties on the way. Looking forward to them. They look good. Uh, Ed, Ed, how you feeling? Feel great. Might as well go for do another 200k day. So, Ed’s done 90ks already. I think I’m probably at about 55 60, but we’ve taken it super easy. It’s been good fun. Not been too much traffic, actually. So, uh, it’s been a good day out so far. Looking forward to the food, though. I’m pretty hungry now. I was I almost ordered two toasties, but I saw the horror in Edwin’s face when uh I suggested it and uh got better of it. Okay, so the uh toasted sandwiches came. They are very good. There’s a weird green thing called water which I which Ed is telling me is water crest. I don’t know. I’m I’m not sure it’s water crust. I’ve eaten water crust before. But it’s very tasty. It’s very uh cheesy. Ham’s really good quality. The toast is really nicely toasted. It’s really, really, really, really good toasted sandwich. So, glad we stopped here. Ed, do you agree? Out of 10. What I want out of 10? I give it uh for toasted sandwich out of 10, I’m going to give it solid 8.5. So, 8.25 average. Not bad. [Music] Boom. Heat. [Music] Back in Richmond Park. Back where we started. Back where we started. Uh really, really good ride. Great pastries, great stops, great company, uh great parks. It’s been absolutely awesome. So, I’ve got no idea how many cakes we’ve done. Um, I’m a shade under 100, so I reckon you’re 20 less than me. 80. About 80. I know we said that last time at the cafe stop, but I was basically taking Ed’s score and minusing 20, but Ed just made up his score last time. So, and we were a bit off, but now we think we’re on. So, yeah, about 80, about 100, but yeah, it’s been tons of fun. I’ll uh link the route. I’ll link the video that inspired the day. And uh yeah, signing out. Yeah. See you.

Brilliant video thanks Carl the filming, sound,is great quality and thanks for taking us on your travels 👌🚴♂️When you are in Richmond Park on the narrow road between fields where are all the cars going ? Is it a rat run to another side of London?
