This one’s simple. No fast cuts. No heavy edits. Just me, my trike, and a peaceful downhill roll through the hills and villages near Lauchringen, Germany 🇩🇪.

This is what I call an “extended ride” — an uncut ride video with just a bit of live commentary as I cruise through the countryside, soak in the beauty, and… stumble across a very boldly named store. Yes, it says “DICK” on the wall, and yes, I had some fun with it. 😄

Hop on and join me for a real-time slice of my journey.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is something I have not done in a very long time. This is an extended ride. I don’t know how much longer on the downhill we have, but we’re in Germany. We just finished a Spetsy show, and it has been a beautiful ride, and it’s probably going to end. It’s probably going to end, but I you know what? I can include the the downhill we had up until now. Uh extended rides is something I used to really enjoy doing as I cycled through Asia, which was just leave the camera going, point it forward, do a little color commentary, and uh have a good time. You know, we are riding through the countryside of Germany. Um I I’m not sure exactly what region, where’s the south side of Germany, of course. Uh, one of the things that’s very notable about this countryside is it’s just just beautiful uh, prairies that are like hilly prairies and the roads here are just like really really fantastic quality. It’s just the tarmac that you enjoy riding on. And what happens is these roads ride through little forests, then through small villages and towns and just sort of serpentine around. Oh, and we’re finished. Hello. All right, we’re going to continue this. We have uh not too much longer until we get back to the uh hotel. So, I’ll just let it go. We’ll ride little ride through a German village with me as we ride into the countryside. We’ll finish this off. Yeah. But that downhill was pretty cool, right? That was a nice Very nice. But now we’re back and I will just let the camera roll until we uh until we finish this ride through the uh through the towns and villages and fields of uh of this section of [Applause] Germany. Lots of dandelions which is very beautiful. It’s either yellow or the Are dandelions the same ones that you blow apart? Is that like the life cycle of a dandelion? You have the ones where you blow them and then the their yellow flowers first? I don’t know. Seems like that might be might be a thing. Hello. Some uh dairy cows up there just hanging out on the hillsides grazing. Great place to grace. I mean there is some incredible grasslands here. Just beautiful prairie. Hanza Zara. Hanza is the marketing director at ASUB and the producer of the recumbent news which is like a informative newsletter for the recumbent cyclists in the world. We’re on the side of probably the busiest road we’ve been on today. So that’s kind of saying a lot if you’re like from the States or whatever. I guess we have some pretty desolate streets in the straits. States. Streets. Streets in the states. Just uh more like in the cornfields in the car. Hanza car. [Applause] I’m actually riding uh one of the uh ASUB Tyfly 26s and it has a Bosch motor on the front which is their newest motor configuration and this thing’s pretty awesome. It’s got like uh a really really quiet smooth operation and uh Bosch has a dual battery system. I think they’re 800 watts per battery and you can have two of them. I I I’ll correct it in the comment section or or uh in the video if I’m wrong, but I think I’m right. So, you have really an insane amount of range because the computer on the inside of the Bosch system, like the backbone of it, it will it will remember the the it will balance the batteries power consumption from one battery to another. Um, so there’s no like having to replace a battery or switch of one to the other. It It does everything for you. It’s quite nice. I’m riding in e mountain bike road uh uh a level, but to be honest, I don’t need that much. I’ll go to eco. I’m okay with eco. [Music] I’m wearing a Osmo Mini mic and it’s just clipped right underneath my neck and I got to imagine it’s probably the audio is very crisp and clean and beautiful. I’ve been so happy with this because if you’ve watched me for a long time, I’ve done these extended rides. The last one was probably riding to Koala Lumpur many years ago and I had a boom mic and although it was nice, I had to have it pointing towards my face in order for the audio to come out okay. And it was probably a little bit more messy than it is now. Now I can pretty much do anything with this camera. I could even get audio and clip it to my friend Yan up there and get him talking just as clearly as I am to you and I could ride behind him. It’s uh really really opens up a whole new set of options for me with regards to sharing my journeys and stuff. If you guys don’t know, and this is like your first video, I have some big plans coming up. Uh I’m in Germany right now and I’ll be in Germany tomorrow, but I will be headed back to the United States on Wednesday. Um, well, that doesn’t maybe not mean much to you because what Wednesday am I going to publish this video? I’m not sure. But when I get to America, I’m going to be on the road visiting every ASUB dealer in North America minus a few. I just got a call for a cancellation from Rocket City Cycles in uh I think it’s Alabama and so they canled and uh no fault of their own. They just have some clients that they need to visit and so it won’t work for my schedule and my schedule is pretty solid because I need to be certain places at certain times and I don’t want to backtrack. So, uh, but besides that, we’re going to head to all over North America. So, I’m I’m going to be going from Detroit, down to Tennessee, then up to Iowa, then to Colorado, then to Flagstaff, Arizona, then up to Utah, then to San Francisco, then up to uh Bend, Oregon, Portland, Oregon. Um then up to um Victoria, right outside of Vancouver. then uh to Calgary, then up to Edmonton, down back into the United States. From there, we’ll go to the Pedal Point Rally, then we’re going to ride across back towards um what is it? It’s uh Minnesota, maybe. I’m not sure. I think is this it? We’re stopping. You have to go to the bathroom. I do, too. So, I’ll take advantage. All right, the boys had to take a piss break. So, Lenin Len, that’s the city we’re headed towards. That’s It’s where our end of the road is. Len leaks, huh? Len like leak like the onion button. Oh. Oh, okay. Like uh Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. String string onions. String onions. But yeah, we’re going to be headed all across America and I’m going to be uh you know taking you guys along with me. It’s going to be uh beautiful rides and it’s going to take months. I have dedicated I have dedicated a few months like right here. Okay. Yeah. I’ve dedicated uh a number of uh months to it, as long as it sort of takes. And I’ve got dozens of visits, whether they’re rides or van life events or visits to dealers. And the visits to the dealers aren’t just visits to dealers. I’ve uh talked with every single one of these dealers and the objective is to park at their facility and then do an amazing ride, take a ride at their facility, record a beautiful uh venue at their at their store area and sort of, you know, the way I thought about it was there’s one, you know, you could look at a book, you could look at trails, you could look at different things and you can get an idea of a nice ride in a place, but you know who’s going to know the best place, the local cycle shop owner. So, I ride the ASUB and I really appreciate the company. So, why not take advantage of of that cycle? Okay, careful. So, why not take advantage of that and let these bike shops host me? I can make some videos at their location and uh it’s a win-win. I get some fun experiences and content to make fun videos. They get an opportunity to host me and maybe get some promotion for their shop. And uh ASOB also gets an opportunity to, you know, provide some added value to the brand that that shop produces. Look at this dog. So cute. [Applause] That building is a big dick. There’s a big dick on that building. That building’s got a big dick on it. That’s the biggest dick I’ve ever seen in my life. Yeah, we uh did about 72 km so far today. So, I think we’ll do about 75 before the end and it has been just a lovely ride beyond the current construction that we’re in right now. But for the most part, it has been awesome. We have an Airbnb uh that uh we have booked and that’s where we’re headed to. We had a a good lunch and a good fill of our bellies. Oh, we got to go up the hill then. Hello. Hello. Lenin is the host city for what was the Spetssy show for the last few years. So, I’m sure anybody anybody here has No, there’s one dick on top of another. Yeah. Oh, one dick on top of another. There’s a sign over there with two dicks on it. I’m not being perverted. I’m I’m just being literal. Yeah, I’m literal. It’s your perverted mind that’s twisting it. If you’re listening to this, Oh, there’s a mobile dick. These are dicks that can travel around. You got to be aware of those mobile dicks. They’ll find you. They will find you. A little roundabout here. I remember coming on the other side as we were headed out of town. This uh Osmo Paka 3 is what I’m using to record these videos. What a fantastic tool this is. It’s stable. Its audio is connected to my my wireless microphone. Its battery life is pretty good. I’ve had this thing running all the the whole ride. And I could, if I wanted to, buy extra battery mounts that I could just swap out willy-nilly. I’m vlogging as we speak. That’s how the magic happens. Oh, is Thomas. Is this where Thomas was? Yeah. There’s the bathroom. He already peed. Stop, Mickey. Stop. You killed me, Hunza. [Applause] Okay, that’s the end of the extended ride. Have a good day. An hour to get to the

  1. you are spot on with the dandelions and the saying, "mama had a baby and it's head popped off" you would hold the flower in your fist and use your thumb to flick the flowerhead off the stem I don't know who came up with that but that's what the kids would do in school when I was young

  2. Bet you wish you were back there. Gorgeous scenery. Nice ride but I'd be nervous with a bike that wide and low with zero shoulders or dedicated bike lane.
