Throughout the summer season starting in May Blake House Craft Centre in Braintree Essex UK hold a bike night on a Thursday for all riders in the area and beyond. The cafe (under new ownership) supplies quick and tasty meals for the riders and there’s plenty of space to sit and chat about all things motorcycling. Plenty of room for parking the machines and the atmosphere is calm and respectful to the local community. It is also a good opportunity for the shops within the craft centre to sell their wears to those attending. Anne picked up some locally made chutney. yum yum.

Ann and I are off to a bike night at the Blake Hall Craft Center which is uh in Brainree which uh I’ll uh I’ll video of course so you can see all the lovely bikes that turn up tonight. Um it’s the first I think it’s the first one of the season and we’ve got a lovely evening for it. It’s a little bit murky but temperature is about 21C I think something like that. When we get there, uh, we’re going to get something to eat as well because there’s a nice cafe there that does, uh, some very lovely food. I’m sure we’ll bump into some people, have a little chat about all the bikes, and then, um, you can join us on uh, this evening’s adventure. Our uh, our journey is going to take us through stock and uh, along uh, to the A12 and then uh, towards Charlesford. and then we’ll uh do the A130 out towards Brain Tree. So, uh yeah, not an totally exciting uh ride, but uh it’s nice to get out and about and we’re still putting miles on Ann’s Tiger 800 Sport ready for her first service. So, that’s the reason we’re out. Going to make it a little bit of an effort before we go away. Come on, fella. concentrate on your driving, not your satnav. And then um that goes in for service. Uh I don’t know when is it a couple of weeks time, two weeks today. So get that first service done and then we’re heading off uh the third week of May and uh off to Portugal. You saw on the previous video what we were what we’re taking and uh how we’re loading up. So, uh we’ll start that process couple of days before. We won’t rush. We do like to prep, but uh I’m sure there’ll be a few bags on the bed before we go. And just said she’s the 1st of May, she’s allowed to do it now. So I said, “Yeah, cuz I normally I normally have a little bit of a moan that we’re doing it too early, but um she gets excited about the journey.” So that’s fine. Let let her have that first of May. Well attended tonight, that’s for sure. Yeah, we actually met someone who’s uh watched one of the videos as well. So, that’s quite nice. And uh has bike been very popular with people as well, which is nice. and we’ve been answering lots of questions about the uh the 800. So, uh all in all, lovely evening and we’re going to head back now as the sun sets. Nice little uh ride back. We’ll probably do the same route or we might could do or we could go through uh stick with the same route and um yeah, so just a little shorty just to give you an idea and then next one well I don’t know what we’ll do in the next one. Probably another ride out somewhere nice. We might try and get to um yeah a scran run. That would be nice just to get those last few miles onto the bike. And then uh yeah, Mason maybe Ann’s just said in my ear going up to the Triple T uh cafe and bike uh shop in Sudbury. So that would be nice front. So we might do that one.
