2 Year ago I got this 2006 m6l, completely unaware of what a brompton was
I bought it, without mudguards, no pedals, every other part was there but old and worn out
The main reason I got this bike was A because of the Raw lacquer B because of the price (800€)
Thought was a huge deal, until I found out all the upgrades made during the years from brompton
And I slowly start looking for parts and upgrade, understanding how the bike works and how is built
Now is a complete different bike, the only parts that are from the one I bought are just the front wheel, the frame, the break clamps and the cranks
So glad of the transformation, is a pleasure to ride and commute
Only advise that I would give to somebody thinking about getting a brompton is to don’t be afraid to buy the bike you want, if you have the resources to do it, it will save time and money on the long run
