This short 2 minute video gives a feel of what its like to ride around and visit some of the canals of the industrial heartland of the Black Country.
Although we rode it on a MTB it can easily be done on a gravel bike. There is no technical riding, and the route is only 50km long. The route starts at the Dudley canal and tunnel trust right next to the Black Country Museum. There is excellent low cost parking and the Trust has a great cafe’ where you can have some food and drink on your return. Brindley Place in the centre of Birmingham is an ideal stop off point on the route. The first 15km does go through some housing estates and light traffic roads and there is a little climbing to be done but nothing too strenuous.
Enjoy the video.
