BIKING IN PARIS 2025 – May Day: From Grande Mosquée to Paris’ Oldest Bridge and Trendy Oberkampf

VIRTUAL CYCLE RIDE – Real Sound of the City
Discover life in beautiful Paris!
A virtual bike ride to experience its atmosphere and iconic landmarks.

Join me for a vibrant spring bike ride through some of Paris’s most iconic and eclectic neighborhoods!
We start our journey in the quiet residential streets of the 14th arrondissement, weaving our way east toward the historic 12th arrondissement. Our first major stop: the majestic Grande Mosquée de Paris, with its stunning Moorish architecture and peaceful courtyard—a serene oasis in the heart of the city.

From there, we roll into the lush green of the Jardin des Plantes, a botanical garden that bursts with color in May. The path then leads us along the Quai de la Seine, offering picturesque riverside views and classic Parisian ambiance.

Next, we cross the romantic Pont des Arts, famously known as the “lock bridge,” once covered in lovers’ padlocks—a symbol of countless stories and stolen kisses, with breathtaking views of the Pont Neuf, the oldest standing bridge in Paris.

We continue northeast toward Place de la République, a buzzing hub of city life, and cruise down Avenue de la République, before turning into the lively, bohemian backstreets—Avenue Parmentier, Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud, and the culturally rich Boulevard de Belleville.

Finally, we ride along the peaceful Canal Saint-Martin, passing street art, cafés, and locals enjoying the sunshine, before ending in the vibrant nightlife and street art mecca of Rue Oberkampf, where Paris shows off its modern, creative soul.

Whether you’re here for the sights, the culture, or the rhythm of the city, this May ride captures it all.
