Today at Oldton Park during the 2025 British Superbike Championship, a catastrophic crash involving 11 riders occurred on the first corner, tragically claiming the lives of Owen Jenner, 21, and Shane Richardson, 29. Jenner suffered a fatal head injury despite immediate medical efforts trackside, while Richardson was severely injured and died in route to hospital. Another rider, Tom Tontol, sustained serious back and abdominal injuries and was hospitalized. Five more riders received minor injuries but did not require hospital admission. The crash forced the immediate cancellation of the remainder of the event due to the severity and ongoing medical interventions. Authorities, including Cheshire Police, the Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board, and Motorsport Vision Racing, are conducting a thorough investigation to the circumstances of the accident. This tragedy underscores the extreme risks of high-speed motorcycle racing, where superbikes reach speeds over 200 mph despite rigorous safety protocols. The loss deeply affects the racing community and raises urgent questions about safety measures in this demanding sport.

Młode chłopaki, szkoda !!!!! Smutna wiadomość😢
Super bike safety is not up to standard, we see crashes in motogp all the time and no injuries like this 👎austria 2020 there was a monster crash 200mph no injuries
RIP guys. Condolences to all involved.
RIP guys. 🙏
God bless them and their families 🙏🏽
Devastating loss to the biking world, heart felt condolences to there loved ones and everyone involved : /
This super stock series is a joke !! Ever year there is a bad accident and this year was to much.. far to many riders in the field, not enough experience some have day jobs, bikes to powerful, needs to change , also the superbikes have been cancelled both years on the run because of this. Not on and far to dangerous
Tragic but do not trust Cheshire Police, who don't reply to IOPC complaints and take 19 shots to dispatch a dog. Absolute cabbages.
RIP guys….forever young
RIP forever young.
So very sad. RIP and condolences to the families 😢😢
I raced my Yamaha 350 DX race modified. Crashed in 1979. I knew the risks with race tyres – quarter of an inch on track surface on corners.
Helmet split in two, leathers shredded and gloves non existent after. 2 weeks hospital, 4 months crutches. I still have a broken chipped bone in my ankle after 45 years. Never rode again. Feel sorry for the guys.
Why post this?
Saftey measures,,sorry on a bike at that speed there is only so much saftey possible. They both died what they loved and my thoughts and prays go out to there family🙏🏼
RIP Dave and Shane.
RIP guys…
Oulton Park is too small for that many riders
lmfao
Latest info suggests Tunstal is stable and in a position to make a good recovery. It's early stages, but all seems positive.
Stupid sport because too much deadly
Why does it need to be investigated. It’s clear and simple what happened. You media say investigations so you can make multiple stories and maybes and cash up on it. While there family suffer. Disgusting absolutely disgusting
We all accept the risk every time we throw our leg over a bike. ITS A CHOICE. Live and let live. Rest easy, brothers 🏁
The problem is those effin painted curbs have less traction…
Rip
Tragedy Rip such loss at an event that should bring joy to all. 😢
What s the police gonna do??? Lmao. We all know the risks involved, rest in peace brothers
Stupid sport
Ma nel 2025 non si può fare in modo che se uno cade e il microchip attiva l’airbag della tuta non può anche spegnere il motore delle moto che precedono?
It was super sport not super bikes. Such a heartfelt delivery announcing the dearhs of two young men.Bravo.
Sadly this is the risk you take when you get involved in the sport, it’s the same as F1 and other types. Rest in peace both and I hope and pray that those who were injured get well soon x 😢
Horizontally flipped video.
Sad day my heart goes out to the loved ones but we all love the sport and we know the consequences when we boot up
Sometimes they don't get up rip lads❤
