This Was Supposed to Be a Chill Ride… Then All Hell Broke Loose

A chilled enduro ride at Cowm Leisure… or so we thought.

What started as a mellow session turned into full-blown chaos. Adam showed up on his brand new 2021 Beta Xtrainer for his first proper off-road ride — and shocked us all by sending some seriously tricky climbs.

Callum promised he’d take it easy… then launched everything in sight, including a massive step-up and a steep drop — twice. He earned the nickname The Raging Bull and had one of his wildest riding days yet.

Will played the role of the G — showing lines, pushing everyone to go bigger, and keeping the pace high all day.

I wasn’t feeling great after petrol fumes in the van got to me, but still managed to clean a climb I failed last time (with a cheeky fall at the top).

Everything’s so clear. I also feel like my nose isn’t getting out crushed. It’s getting a little bit crushed. It’s not getting crushed. How was it today? Had a bit of rain yesterday, I think. Chilly one today. Yeah. He’s doing well, is he? Yeah. That’s going. How you feeling? You’re doing well. You got it. Going the wrong way, aren’t we? We’ve all been there. Adam used to wait that rear. You know what I’m saying? [Applause] Easy. These goggles now, mate. These goggles are [ __ ] sick. The lenses are tinted. It’s like the rose gold. Um Owen was saying they’ve only got three of them. Stu’s got a pair. Someone else bought a pair. And I went in for these goggles cuz I [ __ ] them up with the petrol last week. Oh yeah. Um and he was like, “Manny, let Bigler’s been developing them, mate. [ __ ] the mega. Everything stayed clear.” I’ll show you in a minute. I’ll get to the top of it and I’ll I’ll give you him. Yeah, like last time I I put it in my head so much that it was so steep coming down. Yeah. Well, yeah. I think I’ll have to Yeah. Take a few more. No, honestly, that looks horrendous to go. And he was like, “You want to try these?” He’s like, “Try that.” And like showed me. I was like, “Okay, I’ll have it.” So you if you want to do this, you can or you can just go next to it. It’s loads of rocks. So where Will’s coming down now. Ignore that. The other side of him is flattering. can just come up that so messy. Good for your first attempt that mate. [Music] I remember looking at these when I first come here thinking, “Fuck that.” Yeah, mate. I only did these last time. Is that the little rock? The bit that I just went up. You could just go up that dead slow as long as you kind of turn left at the top. I didn’t. I just like ended up going straight. Yeah, he’s giving it a go. I can feel the riders come along the wall. See how it see? Yeah. Go on. That’s it. Yeah. I wouldn’t do that on my first day. Eh, no chance. Heat. Heat. Here we go. The other way. [ __ ] sake. I’m going to start calling him the [ __ ] ball. Wasn’t the most smooth that one, but it like that. M. That was the quickest I’ve seen anyone do it. [Music] So easy. [ __ ] hell. See that? You want to know what is good? Going up going up these steps. Going up them steps is pretty good for getting you used to going. There you go. I fell on I fell on this last time. Uh that bigger one. So I went up it but there’s like a a big slab in the middle. Not the one to the right that’s like vertical and got one on top. It’s a slab on its own. I went up that being cocky thinking ah I can do this and landed lost all momentum and just [ __ ] fell. Hey this one. What he’s doing there then? That that exact same thing. Well, I hit the slab too hard and got air. Yeah, Cal will do it now there and then fell. Yeah. Thinking what you and G got me doing on my first few days. There’s that slab over there as well, isn’t there? Yeah. There’s loads of stuff around there. Loads. Ronny Max style today. What’s going on? [ __ ] helmet as well. Helmet covered in grass. I wanted to hit that, but my front wheel ended up going in there and then it sent me that way. And I’m in a sticky situation. It’s like one little mistake. Watch that. Yeah, I know. But it’s like one little mistake and it’s like, “All right, I’m [ __ ] for like [ __ ] 10 minutes.” That was close. got some good footage of him. [Music] That looks hard at the top. Yeah, that bit. I don’t know what uh this video is just going to be a I don’t know what it’s going to be. Callum flying about is what it’s going to be. needed mega today. The accomplished loads. Where am I going? I was going to last time, but yeah, I’m not feeling it today. Some days you just don’t feel it, I think. And today, for whatever reason, it’s one of them days. And thing is, my last two rides have been mega. Really enjoyed it. But I also don’t feel great in myself. So I’m going to call it a day. Apologies if this video is boring or even if I release it.
