After I suffered the most recent theft (They got my unlabelled partsbin-special ratbike with only one v-brake, wtf?!) i am looking for a new project for a basic daily driver. I found this 1992 Wheeler Trekking 6300 basically for free. problem: the owner does not know much about it and cant give additional specs.
I would really like to reduce unnecessary hassle for the owner and me if I'm way off eyeballin' roughly at what I'm looking here. I'm mainly concerned about frame size. Given its a 28" bike, i look at how high the seat-tube rises above the rear wheel. From this i would derive that this is def not small frame. on the other hand that bike overall looks somewhat compact to me.
My estimate would be that this is about a 5'9"-6'0" / 56cm-58cm / Large frame, which would be on the lower end of what is workable for me.
What would you estimate the size to?
Disclaimer: i know that this is not the proper way to do this. Getting exact measurements would be better. No, the owner will not give them. Any guess could be way off. I am just looking for anything obvious i am missing or maybe someone is really good at eyeballin' sizes.
