Hello and welcome to another Heart Moto video. In today’s video, we’re going to talk about the Oxford Products Cy. Okay, so welcome back aboard the NC. So, the Oxford Products cool seat. Now, this is a product we’ve been selling quite a bit of lately, so I thought I’d uh try it out and see what all the fuss is about. Does it work? Is it just a gimmick? Let’s find out. So, there’s three seat types. You have the adventure touring, which I have on here. uh street sport and a pillion. So basically it’s constructed of an air mesh. What I’ll do in the normal way I shall put all the um technical specifications up on the screen with all the dimensions so you can see which uh which air um sorry air seat getting confused. which cool seat suits your needs best. So, so obviously the idea is to keep your dairy air nice and cool. Oh, just at uh Oh, we’ve got Susan Calman there. Give her a wave. And there’s Helen. Look, doing some filming. Saw them earlier on today. Uh, doing a new show called A Grand Day Out, I believe. Anyway, I digress. So the uh the cool seat is obviously uh marketed at to to keep your dairy air nice and cool and fresh on long runs. So as we’ve had bit of a bit of a warm spell in the UK, we’ve hit about 27Β° in Cornwall. It’s about 24 at the moment and it is clouding over, but it’s still warm. So, I thought I’d head out and see what all the fuss is about. First impressions, it does say it will aid with comfort. Now, I know a few people who I’ve spoken to on forums and on my channel that they find the NC seat quite uncomfortable. I will say straight away it’s rather pleasant it really does feel a bit plusher and that’s you know immediately noticeable. I mean the the construction is only probably a couple of mil in depth, but it it seems it seems to be enough to take that firmness away. Now, I’ve never really had an issue with the seat on the NC myself, but if that is an issue for you, then um it might be a cheap option for you as opposed to getting your seat changed. Bit of a nasty junction this one. All good. And I said that most of these little junctions on the back roads, you need to look once, look twice, and uh just be on the safe side. So anyway, back to the cool seat. So, as we’ve like I say, we’ve looked into some lovely weather even though it has clouded up a bit at the moment, I thought I’d go and give it a go. So, straight straight away, comfort on the NC. It’s definitely an improvement over the the stock seat. So, in terms of installation, very, very simple. I’ll just pop some photos up on the screen. Just need a 10 mil socket to undo the two bolts on the NC. And it’s just held on with Velcro fasteners. Pop it back on and away you go. It’s as simple as that. I think the pillion one on the the NC might prove to be a little bit tricky. Yeah. So, basically what I thought I’d do is head out, just ride for a couple of hours just to see how it feels. I think if you’re on the continent, things like that. I mean that that’s the real test really. Uh I think you need to be out on the bike possibly all day just to confirm that it that it does what it says on the tin. I think most people, you know, they’ll ride for an hour or two and and want to break anyway. So, so on the back of the material, it has like a non-slip material on the on the cool seat. I, you know, I don’t feel like I’m slipping and sliding around and I don’t feel restricted either. You know, I can still you know, feel, you know, I can move around without any issue. Also uh to note with the the cooled seat, like I say, it’s only a couple of mil thick, it’s not going to have any adverse effect on seat height or anything like that. So, if that’s a concern or an issue, you know, you’ll have no worries there at all. I know, like I say, when you add some of the air seats and what have you, they can raise the the seat height quite considerably. And if you’re broader line tippy toes to start with, then you know that that can be a cause for concern. Right. So, I’ve been on the bike a fair amount of time now. Been along the coast road, along the edge of the moors. How are my bum cheeks? I hear you cry. Again, I’ll be brutally honest with you. I don’t really suffer personally. The cool seat definitely adds comfort. Most definitely. I think the real the real test would be is is to go out all day long, you know, on a tour on a weekend or something like that, you know, to see if it really really does what it says it does on the tin. But first impressions, I think I’ll keep this on the bike. you know, doesn’t detract from it at all. You know, it’s working well. So, I think in fairness, you know, the jewelry is out really if it cools you down. I think on other bikes, you know, that uh generate a lot of heat, that’s probably the best thing to test it on. The NC doesn’t really get that hot to be fair. I think the my street triple gets a little bit rer. Probably the best thing to do is uh try one on that bike and see how we fare. So, if you’re interested in the cool seat, I shall put all the details down in the description below where you can purchase the Oxford cool seat. Like I say, they do a street sports version adventure tour that I’m using and a billion version. I’ll be honest with you, the RRP escapes me at the moment. So, I’ll just pop that on the screen now. I’ll put all the details down in the description below. So, I’d say looking at that black cloud ahead wave is coming to an end. So, I think what I’m going to do now is head back towards bottom and get get home before I get a soap in. So, as always, I do hope you found this a video of interest and of use. I’ll be very very grateful for a like and a subscribe and I do hope you can join me again in future videos. Thanks again for watching. Cheerio. Right. So, just uh got back home and the this air seat I think is great. Absolutely brilliant in terms of adding comfort to your existing seat. Absolutely brilliant. So, I think there’s I’ve watched quite a few more of the established YouTubers um English biker Dan and Chopsy. They’ve both have hornets and I think they both have said how uncomfortable the seat is on that Hornet. So, if you have a Hornet and you don’t want to go to the expense of replacing the seat, give this air seat a go. Uh, sorry, um, cool seat a go. It um, it’s surprising how plusher it’s made this feel. Like I say, I mean, I’ve, you know, those that of you that have watched my videos in the past know that, uh, you know, when I’ve been on tours and things like that, I I don’t suffer with any discomfort at all. But more comfort, even better means I could perhaps go a little bit further. Um, so yeah, absolutely brilliant in terms of it working to to cool you down. I, you know, like I say, the I I need to go on a a longer longer ride really uh to to give you my honest assessment on that. It uh you know, it it it’s again something that I don’t really suffer with, not on this bike. The the heat soak you get off the Street Triple is definitely definitely hotter. So, maybe I should give it a go on that. Um, but on the NC never really been an issue. So, like I say, the the the juryy’s still out on that really, but you know, time will tell. I will stick with it. I will keep it on the bike purely just for a comfort point of view. It it um it’s brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. So, there we are.
