Via Croatia’s yacht fleet disembarked from Dubrovnik harbor and set sail (so to speak) on the Adriatic Sea, along the Dalmatian Coast on the way to Split. Our first port-of-call: the island of Mljet, home of just over a dozen centuries-old settlements, plus Mljet National Park, a nature reserve of wild boars, deer, and Indian mongoose amidst pine forests and two saltwater lakes. There are plenty of ways to experience this bucolic park that takes up about a third of the island, and we saw what we could in our limited time by way of a guided #bike tour around the two lakes: Malo Jezero (Small Lake) and Veliko Jezero (Big Lake). Within the latter lies an island that holds the Romanesque Crkva sv.
