Welcome to a new video/train review. Today we check out the fast way by train between the second biggest city of Bavaria in Germany Nuremberg and the catholic town Bamberg by train which isn´t the highspeed train ICE. I this video I´ll show you what is like to travel onboard a new generation Regio train in only 50 minutes on a highspeed railway route which is built more for fast trains as for city hopper trains.
The quickly hop onboard the train:
For a longer time I´ve heard about the new train product which connects Nuremberg to towns like Wurzburg, Sonneberg at Thuringa and wider to Leipzig. For a meeting a Bamberg I used a trai which departs at Nuremberg main station via Erlangen, Bamberg, Coburg and finally Sonneberg at the Forst of Thuringa. After boarding I checked out the First class which is nearly qual with the second class without a grew color and a better legroom. The second or main class had a main deck and on three wagons a double floor cabin. The seat layout where in a 2-2 layout and on the upperdeck in a kind of paralell row. On my seat I spent the 50 short minutes with a try table and a view out of the window. Also I had a arm rest and a pretty good legroom.
It was very intersting for me like at Forchheim where I had a view to the dark side of the town, the old towers of the breweries which are for many years out of service but on monument protection.
The rest of the products inside like the huge toilet room or the bike area look not bad for a train which a still new in the regio train family of Germany.
About the Deutsche Bahn company and its network and trains:
The “Deutsche Bahn” company, founded in January 1994 is Germanys biggest train company. The company has many types of train and brings every year over 100 million passengers through the country, to their work and on holyday. The most famous train is with distance the highspeed train ICE. This train is split up in the brand new ICE3neo, the ICE3 highspeed, the ICET and the older variants 1 and 2. Next to this fast trains it´s happen the Regio and Regional train RE and RB and in towns and the districts the local trains. Today more and more trains got the service of WIFI in the cabin as well. The cabin of the trains is in a two class configuration first and second class and on trains like the ICE a onboard restaurant which connects the first and second class.
The downside of the Deutsche Bahn is that for many years most of the trains departs and arrives delayed. This is also one of Germany’s biggest problems in mobility and travelling by train. To make a journey by this railway company has advantages and disadvantages.
This is footage from train number 19 from Nuremberg main station to Sonneberg at Thuringen station via Fürth, Erlangen, Forcheim and Bamberg. Next next stations were Coburg, Neustadt bei Coburg and Sonneberg. I was seatet in wagon 3 on the right handside and the upper deck.
