In this video, which I filmed mostly on 11th April 2024, we go on a virtual cycle ride. We start in Louth, Lincolnshire, where I take you on a tour around parts of the town, including a few places I haven’t shown before. Then, we continue on to explore sections of the villages of Keddington, Alvingham, and North Cockerington, with a quick visit to a couple of churchyards.
I also filmed a separate walking tour of Louth on 11th April, which will be released in the next few weeks.
The footage in this video was recorded using a GoPro Hero 9 Black camera mounted to a cycle helmet. This was filmed in 4K/25 resolution to reduce electrical flicker. A 4K UHD-capable display and fast internet connection are required to view it in full quality.

Lincolnshire 2025
@leeharrisonlincs
Hi, I’m Lee and welcome to another video. Today is Friday, April the 11th, 2025, and we are back in La. Uh, in this video, it’s a cycle video only. I was going to do some walking on it, but I’m going to do on a separate video cuz it’s been so busy. Uh, in this video, I’m going to take you for a trip around parts of La also to um take you through Kington, Olvingham, and North Coington. So, um, hope you enjoy this video and uh, we’ll catch you later. Bye-bye. Hello again. Today is Friday the 11th of April, 2025, and we are back in La. I was going to film this on Good Friday, which is next week, but uh unfortunately the weather forecast isn’t so good for Friday, so I thought I’d jump at the chance and film it [Music] today. We’re currently on Eastfield Road. [Music] [Music] In this video, I’m going to show you a few different parts of La also that I’ve not shown before. Um, you can actually skip to the location you want to see. If you look at the description below on YouTube, there’s a list of locations. If you click on them, you can actually skip directly to the place if you want to see them directly. [Music] [Music] There’s been a few changes since my last cycle video in La. The grand old house which was Douglas Electronics building was demolished over a year ago. has been and has been wasteland since. [Music] We’re now on St. Bernard’s Avenue. [Music] We’re now on Abby Road. I don’t think I’ve taken down this part of the Abby Road before. [Music] [Music] This is broadly cresant. [Music] In this video, I’m going to try and include some parts of L I’ve not shown before. This is Freer Gardens. We’ve not been down here before. [Music] [Music] We’re now on Virginia Drive. I did come up here on one of my early videos. [Music] This is St. Bernard School [Music] ahead. We’re now on Wood Lane. [Music] This is the Meridian Leisure Center. It opened in 2010. [Music] To our right is Woodlane Fields. Then just beyond that is the old railway line which is now called Railway Walk. [Music] We’re now on Stutton Lane. [Music] [Music] We’re now on New Market. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Applause] This is the Brown Cow Pub in front of us. The big white building on the left used to be the Playgoers Theater many years ago before it moved to Riverhead Theater. We’re now on Cinder Lane. I’ve actually had a request to show this road. This is Kidg Gates Primary School. We’re going past on the right. We’re now on Kid Gate. [Music] [Music] We’re now coming up to Joseph Morton Weatherspoon on the right and John Taylor’s auction room on the left. [Music] We’re now on upgate. We’ve got the Greyhound pub on the left and tap on the line on the right. [Music] Now on Gospel Gate in La the word gate found in many street names doesn’t signify an actual gate but instead stem from the old Norse term gata meaning street or road. This linguish connection traces back to the Danish conquest of Lincolnshire in the 9th century where the legacy is reflected in the area’s history and its place names. We’re now on Cro Tree Lane. We’re now going past King Edward the 6th Grammar School. [Music] To the left of us is the site of the old Crot Lane Hospital in La which is now part of King Six Grammar [Music] School. This is Irish Hill. [Music] We’re now on West Gate. [Music] Just on the left is West Gate Fields and the road we are on actually takes you out of La towards the bypass. [Music] We’re now just coming back into LA and this is St. Mary’s Lane. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] This is St. Mary’s old cemetery. We’re just going through now. I need to walk this bit. So, I apologize for the wonky angle of the uh helmet camera. [Music] We’re now on Bridge [Music] Street. This is Sistn Gate. I’ve not taken you up here before. [Music] This is a Ray [Music] [Music] Road. We’re just crossing the River Lud. I am actually walking here and I’ve got off the bike. [Music] We’ve just crossed Broadbank and this part is Kilm Lane. [Music] [Music] [Music] This is the co-op. We’re just going through the car park. We’ll just ride along the side of the river Lud now on Eve Street. We’re now on North Gate. [Music] [Music] We’re now on Checker Gate. We do have a lot of gates in [Music] La. Here we have the beautiful St. James’s [Music] Church. This is East Gate. [Music] [Music] [Music] These two shops on the right are where even Rancho used to be. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] The old Wilco store is about to come B&M in the next few weeks. [Music] Hi, Fabian. Oh, thank thank you very much. Thank you. We’re now on Church Street and you got L bus station on the right. [Music] This is Queen Street. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] We’re now on Aswell Street. [Music] [Music] Have to apologize for the wonky picture. Unfortunately, the camera had tilted. I had no way of checking it while I was riding. [Music] You’ve got the BS Head Pub just ahead of us. We’re now on New [Applause] Market. This is Lee Street. I don’t think we’ve taken down here before. This is Asc Hall on the right. [Music] Now on Mercer row I’m pleased to see the parking has been restored down here. We had a sunb on the road a few years ago. And I’m rolling up the water. This is marketplace. I will take you to see the market on my next walking video. On our left is Alfredo, which is where even Rancho used to be. [Music] We’re now back on East Gate is really busy today. Plus, there’s road works. So, some of the town is blocked off at the [Music] moment. We’re just about to cross the Greenidge Meridian line. If you’re enjoying this video, by the way, please click the thumbs up and give it a like. Also, if you want to see more videos like this, please subscribe to my YouTube channel, comment down below, share the video. A lot of hours of work goes into making these videos. Uh, so very much appreciated. Thank you. [Music] You got La Town Council building on the left, followed by the old police station and Primary Hotel. [Music] [Music] We’re Just passing Trinity Church on our [Music] right. This is Lacy Gardens. I’ve never taken you up here before. [Music] to the left of us is Lacy Gardens School. [Music] [Music] [Music] We’re now back on East Gate. [Music] [Music] This is Riverhead Road. [Music] [Music] Now on 10th [Music] Street. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] We’re now riding alongside the La Canal. [Applause] [Music] [Music] The water level in the canal seems very low at the moment. Let’s go. [Music] This bit here is where I actually filmed my intro and outro to my Perf Australia video last year. We’ve now left La and reached the village of Kadington. This is Kadington lock. Suddenly, the original lock collapsed due to being in disrepair. They rebuilt it with some boulders a few years ago, but uh it it’s not looking so good at the moment because the water level’s so low. [Music] [Music] Okay, we’re now in Kington. Bit too busy in La to uh film much at the moment. When it quietens down, I’ll go back there. [Music] We’re currently on River Lane in the village of Kington. Beautiful spring day today. Friday the 11th of April, 2025. It’s finally warmed up a little bit. The wind’s been absolutely freezing lately. We’re now on Church Lane. Okay, we have a little stop off here. This is St. Margaret’s Church in Kington. [Music] [Music] [Applause] I didn’t realize straight away when I was filming this, but this church is no longer a church. It’s actually an Airbnb now, and it’s actually rentable. [Music] [Music] This is Kellington grain juggler. We’re now on Cow Slip Lane in Kington. [Music] This reminds me of Witch Cliff a little bit. [Music] [Music] We’re still in Kington. This is Tickle Penny Lock which is coming up to Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] This here is where I took my Northern Lights photos which are on Instagram. We’re now heading towards the village of Olvingham. We’ve now reached the village of Olvingham which is about 4 miles from the center of [Music] La. We’re currently on Yara Road. [Music] I think it’s your WS over there. If you’re wondering what the no pylon signs are about, well, I’ll tell you. The National Grid are planning on putting pylons from Grimby to Walpole in Norfolk, uh, all the way down this coastline to the east of La all the way down to Norfolk. uh the proposed pylons are going to be 50 m high. There will be there will be two lots at 330 m apart. The local people including myself are objecting to these u but they seem to want to put profits before people. I will put a link to the no pylons link and share page in the description down below. [Music] This Forge [Music] Dolphingham Farm Shop. [Music] [Music] [Music] Thank you. [Music] We’re on Church Lane now. [Music] [Music] [Music] This is Alvingham Watermill in front of us. [Music] We’re now at Olvingham Churchyard. You do actually have to go through a farm to get to the churchyard unless you go down the canal path. There actually are two churches here at Olvingham. St. Mary’s Church and St. Helwald’s Church. This is St. Mary’s Church. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] This is St. Adelorld’s Church. [Music] [Music] We’re now on High Street in Olingham. [Music] [Music] We’re now on Highbridge [Music] Road. This is the church hall. This old telephone box is now used as a [Music] library. Heat. Heat. [Music] We’re now on Lock Road. This is La Canal. We’re just crossing again. We’ve now reached the village of North Cockerington. We’re now on Chapel Lane, North [Music] Coington. All right. [Music] [Music] [Music] We’re now on Meadow Lane. [Music] We’re now on School Lane. This is North Cochrington Church of England Primary School on the left. This is laugh canal. [Music] [Music] Well, I hope you enjoyed this virtual cycle through parts of La. Also, we took you through a little bit of Kington in Olvingham, which I’m actually at the moment, and North Cockrington. Uh, I was going to try and get more of La on it in the town center, but it was just so busy and there’s so much traffic about, it would ruin the video. So, uh, I’m going to do that on a separate video. So, if you like this video, obviously, please share, please click the like button and, um, also subscribe to my channel if you want to see more YouTube videos like this. Uh, there will be more of LA and trying to get more of Lincolnshire in the UK as well as Australian videos. So, once again, thank you for watching and we’ll catch you on the next. Bye-bye. [Music] Good morning. [Music] Good night. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music]
