  1. Something needs to be adressed there : the political landscape of Paris is a mess. The City is ruled by the Left, the western cities are ruled by the Right, the eastern cities by the Far-Left and the region as a whole by the Right. They all hate each other, and all hate the government, which still has a say in things happening around Paris. So while Paris as a city has great ambitions as you said at the end, those are still only projects and could change at a whim depending on who gets the City and the Region in the next elections

  2. Rotterdam has done well over the past twenty years, but now they no longer want to grow the metro network. Such a pity. They had realistic plans and plenty of space and an abandoned station was even created

  3. Like all big cities, Paris is a nightmare zone that nobody should ever visit. Rural small village France is great though. Also the various wealthy enclaves that French elites visit like Antibes, Monaco, etc. Provence generally but not Nice or Marseille. Cities are where the wealthy farm the masses.

  4. It looks really cool on the B1M video. It does not show the reality of what life in Paris has become though (not the point of the video anyway). I mean to say the reality is not as cool as the tech highlighted in the video suggests. Hmmm…don't go to Paris to watch the olympic games. Watch it from your home, in your country, and thank me later. It's just safer. Paris is a SH.

  5. Besides there are a lot more than 7 millions inhabitants in Paris metropolis: they were about 11 million in the urban area and more than 13 million in the metropolitan area in 2021.

  6. I was in Paris last week and besides the fascinating architecture you get to see, the metro fascinated me the most! It's incredibly efficient, comfortable to travel with and not even expensive! I wish we had this where i live😅

  7. Why additional subway tunnels?
    All districts become 15-minute districts.
Own transportation will not be allowed
And getting out is under strict supervision and enforcement
    NWO open air prisons….

  9. 0:05 'a project once in a century' … lol. Make that at least twice in a century… The bl@@dy russians had a similar project with the Moscow Central Circle metro Line (54km). Since 2000 the Moscow Metro network saw an expansion of some 200 km and 78 new stations !

  10. 76km is a lot of extra ground to cover but I'm confident that my dudes can ensure every station still smells like pee in time for the 2030 completion date.

  11. Hello, as a parisian (born and raised) i am all for this project and i appreciate the video. But i feel that it was more a presentation of the political presentation. Those beautifull images at the end were cgi, there is no way they are going from 9,5% to 30% in 5 years now. And since they are not going to open for rhe games money and political incentive will diminishe imho.
So an overview of the actial advancements of the project would be a nice follow up.
    Keep up good work
Ps : i will admit that they did a really good job over last 15 years to reduce place for car and give way to bicycles and pedestrians.

  12. Paris being Paris.

Yet the "cars are bad, remove" its silly. What you need to do planning a massive infraestructure like this one Is get the good on rail transportarion, make strategic stations where carriers pick the goods and move them only a few hundreds of meters away or 1-2kms.

Then, you got it solved. Cars are not the issue BUT lorries and Amazon trucks, deliveries and taxis

  13. Someone should send this to Sadiq Khan the mayor of London with the following message : "mate, stop sitting on your hands and bull your way with the superloop … Better build a subway system south of Thames … Which you said " is home" for you".

  14. so cool to see what can happen in a developed country. here in the US, nothing like this would ever happen

  15. As a Frenchman, I'm a little sick of this so called revolution culture of ours.
It means the French want everything to be done overnight, then they would be free from any serious commitment for another 100 years.
This is naive, unrealistic and worse, kinda lazy, thus selfish.

But yeah, this tremendous project is an outrageous blessing we're getting here.
I live in Maisons-Alfort, a suburb south of the inner city that's to be served by line 15, that will be effectively operated as of 2026 at the latest.
We're already seeing some change around here. In spite of the currently bad real-estate market, there are residential buildings under construction all over the area, that's to improve it.
And hopefully, that's only the beginning. Finally the suburbs get something significant that might help them catch up on the prestige of Central Paris.
This is something major, possibly priceless to us in the suburbs, some of them badly impoverished.

  16. I left Paris for Amsterdam 5 years ago, and appreciate the much better biking infrastructure and much calmer environment here, but it's really nice to see Paris improving in the mean time, i might move back more easily than i though 😆. (the scale of the city is really not the same though, it's clearly not easy to reach the same quality of life at Paris's size and population density).

  17. 7,2 millions is the population of Petite Couronne. Greater Paris has approximately 12millions. These infrastructures will be for the entire greater Paris area not just the city and the inner suburb.
