I take the Honda NT1100 out for a spin and head to see HMS Unicorn, a 200 year old wooden Warship berthed in Dundee. We also get to see an old lighthouse ship that sadly will be heading to the scrapyard and talk about Dundee’s old shipbuilding tradition now long gone.

  1. Hi Alex, nice ride around mate, my kind of post , exploring an area, especially as I'll probably never get there & if I did. Its likely that yous still never see tucked away goodies like this Cheers buddy , ride safe

  2. Sign of the times, no money around to do restorations. No one does anything unless theres a payback. Same in buisness we don't do any projects unless there is a payback. Got me thinking this video. When does a Boat become a Ship ? Have a good day Alex.

  3. I very much like these videos visiting these places. It does make you wonder how long we can go without making or building things? Some say we have evolved to other professions and maybe we have but it is sad to see some of the things we can no longer do.

  4. I would imagine it's gonna take big bucks to restore either of those ships, the lighthouse on e looks like it may be beyond saving. Such a shame when you see all these places that used to be thriving workplaces, and all turned into housing now.
    Nice video Al

  5. I suppose one problem is that to engage the interest of visitors you need a 'name', Victory in Portsmouth has Nelson so it's assured of hordes of visitors. Good to explore a part of your city we haven't seen before. Many thanks for taking us around, Alex
