„Flak“-Moped translate to „Flat bed“-Moped, an iconic micro transport vehicle used from the 50th on in the Scandinavian industry and communities.
Many are still used till today, but it gets more and more challenging to keep them in good shape. The original Flakmoped was built by NV, Nymans Verkstäder AB in Uppsala/Sweden as Crescent Transport Saxoped 1210. Powered with an little 2-stroke, 3-Speed- 0,8 HP – 47cc Sachs engine, it was a great success and many more models followed. NV was back in the days a great player, celebrating in 1958, the year of the Saxoped 1210 launch, the manufacturing of 4 Million vehicles since 1888, mainly bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles, many specials to transport goods.
The NCCR Packoped, take the original design to the next level. But it is more than another retro project, it’s designed and built as a serious contribution to today’s needs in micro mobility.

I think it's an awesome idea to design a bike that looks like a moped. Also really cool that all the parts come from European manufacturers. Wishing the designer and her family lots of success and plenty of people who’ll love this one-of-a-kind bike.
