So I been loving this gitane and the way it rides, I swapped the wheelset and made the bike even better 32c panaracer gravel slick tires. I had this perfect condition Shimano rsx laying around and installed it cause the rear gearing is pretty close and can't be fully utilized if I'm reaching down to downtube levers every 4-5 pedals. 1st pic stock, 2nd pic wheelset , seat and bar tape, 3rd pic Shimano RSX brifters and derailleurs. Only downside is the additional cables and all I had laying around was black cable , next step I'll swap in some yellow cables for the shifters and wrap bar tape over the brake lines so I'll only have 2 cables exposed instead of the current 4.
This isn't your dad's old Raleigh, This bike fucks.
