🇬🇧 What’s the Difference Between Great Britain, the United Kingdom, and England? 🇮🇪
Clear up the confusion between Great Britain, the United Kingdom, and England. Firstly, let’s break down the islands. The smaller island, Ireland, has two countries: Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The larger island, Great Britain, includes three countries: England, Scotland, and Wales. Here’s what you need to know: England refers specifically to the country in the southern part of Great Britain, with its capital in London. Great Britain is the name of the large island containing England, Scotland, and Wales. The United Kingdom includes all of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Republic of Ireland is a separate country, part of the European Union, with its capital in Dublin. Together, all these territories are part of the British Isles, which include Great Britain, Ireland, and over 6,000 smaller islands. Stay tuned to understand more about these fascinating regions! 📚

England Scotland and Wales are in UK
6000 island around them?? 😮
UK = a country that includes countries.
I prefer to call England, Scotland and Wales as Kigdoms instead of countries, just to not confuse people even more
Très bien résumé 👌 rapide, efficace.
Mais ça reste un sacré bordel 😅 sans oublier le Commonwealth ! Avant et maintenant
lol this sounds dumb plus confusing
That americans have to be taught this through youtube is mindboggling.
Love how he first completely ignored the isles, then just bunches them up…
It’s calt kingdoms not countries
This actually makes a lot more sense now, thank you
Why don't we learn that in school 😭
honestly some people don’t know Northern Ireland exists, and that it’s only Ireland.. how come people don’t know?
I already get it
Bro offended +99999999999 Million People
You forgot the British Overseas Territories ( Bermuda, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Falkland Islands ect) and British Crown Dependencies ( Jersey, Isle of Man and Guernsey)
Just to clarify – only the UK and Republic of Ireland are countries here. England and Scotland were former countries, they're not countries anymore. Wales, and Northern Ireland were never countries in the first place.
Fun fact 1:
“Ireland” is an island and the “Republic of Ireland” is a country
Fun fact 2:
The uk’s full name is the “United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland”
All combined is still a small island
I'm 41 and I never knew the difference between the UK , Great Britain, and England. Thank you for explaining this.
the north of ireland is not a country bro
A bonus one English is the language not the people
Well I'm British and thanks for that!
i thought Escanor wiped out Edinburgh?

Personally, as an Irish/English guy (50 – 50), I reckon Ireland should join the UK, but have different parts of each, so the whole thing becomes part of the EU, Ireland shares Great Britain's military, Ireland makes some Governmental changes, as well as helps calm the political madness the UK is in with countries like Russia. Both economies merge.

What about "the united kingdom of great Britain and Northern Ireland"?
Zach d films but,geographical
And Americans say they invented English language
hi
Next .
What are those on the end of your feet (for Americans)
England is a migrant tribe from today's Germany and Denmark. The English arrived in the 5th century after the Romans left; the only people were the Britons, the Romans called it Britannica, the English are not British or Brits!!!
Also, it is called Great Britain, not because it's so great, but because it is bigger than the other Britain which is better known as Bretagne in France.
Together they were part of the Angevin Empire
When you hear England it means immigrants
Thank you so much for this. So confusing 🤪 I can’t believe that this tiny part of the world has controlled so many regions of the world smh. Can you do a video on the current Roman empires
Erm actually 🤓🤓 it is the united kingdom of great Britain and northern Ireland
N A T I O N not country if your gonna say regions in countries say that
Ugh! I’ll never remember that. Great explanation though!!!
so if great britian is a country then why are there also 3 countries within it
Actually it is pretty stupid as it is such a small area. Those who are not English are fiercely patriotic about their origins whilst the English mostly do not give a damn !
The name was UK
How come barely anyone says they know this, and yet I am an American child, who has known this for quite a while?
Haha😂
"Northern' Ireland" is NOT a country. It's a region within Ireland, that is ruled by Britain. And there is no such place as "the 'british' isles". Please stop referring to Ireland as anything British. We never were, are not, and never will be part of Britain. We are a proud separate people. And neither Ireland or the UK recognises that term.
They aren’t quite countries but they have their own political for the uk. Kinda works Like the us. The pm can be from England, scotland, Wales and northern Ireland, much like the is President can be from any State. So, officialy, it is the United kingdom, but it is the British isles including the DRC. I js saved you a minute of time there
Team United Kingdom

And by the way, the capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast.
