Time to get the fitness rolling again!

Today I went for a run at Oldham Edge in Oldham, Greater Manchester, UK.
Oldham Edge is a beautiful open parkland area just a short walk from the centre of Oldham. It’s full of wide grassy spaces, gentle hills, and some amazing views stretching over Oldham and even across to Manchester on a clear day. It’s a place that has been loved for generations — perfect for running, walking, and just getting some fresh air. Back in the day, it was (and still is) a popular spot for school cross-country races, football practices, and family days out.

I had been planning to come back here for a long time but never got around to it — today I finally made it happen!
As soon as I started running, so many school memories came flooding back… the cross-country runs we used to do, the football matches, the training sessions — all those years ago. It made the place feel even more special and emotional for me.

It was a warm day and I definitely wore too many layers which made the run a bit tougher, but honestly, it was worth every second.
Sometimes going back to old places brings a new kind of motivation. Let’s keep the fitness journey moving!
