We’ve just completed a 3 week cycle tour up the Outer Hebrides of Scotland from Vatersay in the south to the Butt of Lewis in the north and back down again. We’ve visited Vatersay, Barra, Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecular, Grimsay, North Uist, Baleshare, Berneray, Harris, Scalpay, Great Bernera and Lewis.
We’ve crossed 8 causways and used 4 ferries to cross between the islands, camping and using hostels along the way – it has been a fabulous journey. What an adventure we’ve had! I’d totally recommend this journey to anyone. The landscape is out of this world!
