So I got this bike from Facebook Marketplace, and it needs some TLC and some adjusting. However, my local bike shop has said it's an old style frame, so many of the newer stuff they've got won't fit. Can folks help me identify what parts I'd need to find?
I basically need to replace the handlebars with a higher angled one, for a more upright seating position, so I'd also need new handlebar grips. Does that mean I need to replace the shifters as well? Or can I just transplant those?
Looking up the branding doesn't give much – it's a Trek 7000, which was like a 2013 release.
