The Baťa Canal (Baťův Kanál) is a cycle route and navigable canal on the Morava river in the Czech Republic.
The official route starts in Hodonín then goes to Uherské Hradiště and on to Kroměříž. BUT we recommend avoiding the section between Hodonín and Uherské Hradiště. Instead, start at Uherské Hradiště and ride to Kroměříž. You’ll get the best water views and riding surface. We’ll give you a detailed overview of why you should skip the Hodonín section in the video.
Built during 1934-38, this canal has a long history!
