Bike is a 1990 Specialized Allez Epic – would've been a higher-spec road bike when it came out. It was already converted to singlespeed when I got it in ~2008 for $150 off craigslist (one heck of a first real bike for a highschool kid to luck into).
I've been putting some love into it over the past couple years – renewed the clear coat on the frame, got a new carbon fork, new wheelset, etc. I started leaning into the white-on-black color theme last year, but white bar tape only looks good for a few months at best, so I'm only running this cherry-blossom tape for the spring season.
P.S. Before anyone chimes in with poorly sourced rumors about these frames not being safe. You're wrong.
Plenty of these are still on the road, they're MUCH stronger and more repairable than modern carbon. I've had experts look at the frame, and I've ridden thousands upon thousands of miles on it, but every few months I hear the same utterly-false rumors about them being super sketchy and fragile.
