In the afternoon on Saturday 26th April 2025, we walked from Lihovar to Anděl via Smíchovské nádraží, Plzeňka and Na Knížecí (home of Staropramen brewery and visitor centre).
Lihovar is home to one side of the new Dvorecký most that will transport trams, cyclists and pedestrians across the River Vltava and should open soon as there is only one more span to be dropped into place.
The area around Lihovar is being turned from dereliction to a new area of smart apartments and shopping and work has already started on the redevelopment of what will become Nádraží Smíchov as the communist brutalist architecture is swept away and replaced with a modern, eco-friendly terminal and the whole area is modernised with new apartments and parks.
