I am looking to buy an endurance road bike, I currently have a CX bike and want to upgrade to something of a higher spec and reliability. I am in the UK so was planning on using the cycle to work scheme to buy the Giant Defy Advanced 2 at £2700. This would cost me around £2100 with the tax benefits.
This second hand defy at £1100 popped up and seems like quite a good deal. I haven’t been seeing carbon wheels often at this price point. I have just enough cash to be able to afford this kind of price in the second hand market but want to make sure it’s a good deal or if I should try barter down a little bit. Or if it’s such a good deal that I should hurry and go see. It’s only an hour drive away.
