As thousands of political leaders and environmental scientists gather at the climate change summit this week, we ask – is Denmark the shining green example it seems to be?

Denmark is the world leader in wind technology, with a third of the wind turbine industry worth tens of billions of dollars. ““Because the energy in the wind is higher on sea than on land, you can get more energy out of the wind.,” says power engineer Katrine. Whether the rest of the world will adopt Denmark’s policies remains to be seen, but the green arm-wrestling which will take place here this week, will surely affect the future of us all.

  1. Pathetic bunch of serfs. They ride around on bicycles, they build their massively expensive wind turbines without even breathing protection, they're taxed into poverty, and they worship the false god of global warming.

Notice a pattern of hysteria that is basically BS!! But I do intend to make money off of them!

  3. Every wind and solar installation is propped up by reliable nuclear and fossil fuel plants which compensate for the dangerous and unpredictable fluctuations of wind/solar output.

Otherwise, they would cause life-threatening black/brown outs and voltage spikes throughout the day.

  4. We must go full nuclear!. The safest, I repeat, the safest, cheaper, cleanest, and the least landscape intrusive energy. And non intermittent, by the way. Should not were for the taxes imposed by stupid or corrupt governments on the taxpayers for the subsidizes for solar and wind, they wouldn't exist. It's a big scam for the hard-earned-money workers. STOP THE WIND AND SOLAR CRAZINESS https://youtu.be/55-jBCjtJ88

  5. The Danes should look into the Viking settlement of Greenland around 900 ad, and the abandonment in 400 years due to climate change. All before electricity was used. These ugly windfarms woul

  6. Green energy. Ha ha. What a joke. Thel steel windmills can't be produced without coal. And the batteries are made from toxic metals mined in China the by product of which destroys farming land. Then there are the tons of concrete needed to bed them into. Yes, very green There's a reason why ships don't use wind power anymore. It's totally unreliable.

  7. Denmark is pathetic. Running coal power plants at inefficient low levels; importing expensive energy from Germany and Sweden. The triumph of GW religion. Super high power costs. FORCED to join local power sharing. A silly little country full of thick alarmists who are poorly educated and unintelligent. Make those immigrants speak Danish. Tak!
Forced by the EU to compensate the poor for super high electricity costs. Self righteous, sanctimonious prigs. Get a life, turds!

  8. So what about China and India? China's 26% greenhouse emissions will soon reach 30%, whilst India's is on the rise from 19% to 25% in the next decade…Maybe Greta can hold her climate change protests in Beijing….

  9. As of 2018, global production of wind turbines use 450,000 tonnes of copper per year. For wind farms with three-stage gearbox doubly fed 3 MW induction generators, approximately 2.7 t per MW is needed with standard wind turbines. For wind turbines with LV/MV transformers in the nacelle, 1.85 t per MW is needed. THE COPPER COMES FROM BASE LOAD COAL or NUCLEAR POWERED PROCESSING so wind turbines are useless – the mega sized equipment to lift and instal requires double full rod steel reinforced concrete driveways – every part requires base load power to make and the copper wasted building these over priced never to pay for themselves windmills, is dead money. Nuclear wins / solar doesn't work 77% of the time and windmills kill birds and when there's no wind ? I win you lose.

  10. One nuclear reactor would run 200,000 houses I’m sorry 300,000 houses 24 seven and it’s clean one of those go bad where do you disposal and then fork out some more money in the billions to build them again which one nuclear reactor will do the same thing and clean burning and safe And reliable you might think it’s beautiful but a lot of people think it ruins the whole landscape when you’re looking out the ocean And killing thousands of birds that’s just the beginning
