I have a 2019 Ultimate and love it so much that I decided to buy a second frame used for travel/winter. My original frame did not have this on top of the steerer tube. From what I’ve read, these are required for the Endurace (though I can’t find why). Two questions:
1. Why is this required for the Emdurace but not the Ultimate?
2. Why would one Ultimate have it but not another?
