As someone who has a 3 and 1 year old I would definitely love the more open talk on sex and relationships because trust me I get it, it is so difficult at the best of times to think or talk about being intimate. So happy for the both of you that you took the time for yourselves because parents do need a break to be themselves and you’re slaying parenthood! Even from a distance, not knowing you guys in person, I can tell that you two are in it for the long-haul. It was our attitude from the beginning. We'll celebrate 47 years in June and people are beginning to ask us that question – 'Soooo, what's your secret?' I've decided the best answer is: We stayed married. Plain and simple. I don't think there is a 'secret' to a long marriage, just the commitment to see it through and be willing to work things out between you when needed. But also to have fun together and work hard towards your goals together and to be open and honest about issues that come up. I love that you guys are all that with each other and are willing to have a conversation here for the people who are interested.
And also, that trip looked awesome! So happy for you that you got to go! 🥰
