🚲 Ride with me from as we see if I can cycle from the heart of London all the way to Epping Forest, following the winding canal paths and taking in everything along the way. Expect peaceful moments, unexpected bumps, and the quiet beauty tucked between city and countryside.
If you’re looking for something free to do in London, and want a bit of exercise along with it, then trying the cycle to Epping forest might just be for you! And whether you have a mountain bike, gravel bike, or road bike, it’s definitely within reaching distance! The canal side journey is definitely worth the trip, even if you only make it to the Hackney Marshes, up a little bit of River Lea, or to one of the various pubs along the way.
Or if you do indeed manage to make it to up to Epping Forest, then High Beech and Wake Valley are great places to check out, and makes for a perfect day trip out of London!
Also, let us know in the comments—do you have any fun distance cycling routes you’d recommend from London?
