Had this bike 2 years and covered 3000miles now, a mix of road/pavement and trails in national parks in Scotland and Peak District. In that time I’ve had a full rear wheel rebuild as the spokes kept breaking, a new centre lock rear hub because the stock one shit itself and all new cassette, chain and new chain ring. It’s in mint condition apart from a few stone chips here and there but given the abuse and mileage it’s had it’s been a good servant. I recently got a set of Schwalbe Big Ben 2.0 tyres and sort of turned it into a hybrid for my road riding and can still handle light gravel trails with them on. It’s made the bike noticeably faster for sure than the Knobby MTB tyres, I just switch them back on if I go on more hardcore trails/mud.

Was wondering if it’s worth upgrading to the new Marlin 6 Gen 3? Anyone done this move?
