The motorbike road is 35 Miles long and takes 40 Minutes to ride.
The ride starts at Coryton Roundabout, M4, Junction 32.
Exit onto the A470 road, following signs for Merthyr.
Follow A470 Passing Pontypridd, to 1st roundabout at Abercynon.
Straight ahead at Abercynon to 4 roundabouts in Merthyr Tydfil.
Go straight ahead at each roundabout, staying on A470 to start of The Brecon Beacons
It’s a 15 mile ride along the A470 road, on the majestic Brecon Beacons Mountains to the heart of South Wales in Brecon.
Today’s ride ends at the roundabout on the A40 at Brecon
Go straight over the roundabout on the A4601 to the bridge crossing the River Usk in Brecon town.

Great ride. I don't think I have ever used the section of the A470 from Merthyr to Brecon. I must give it a go sometime. I was at the other end of the A470 last week, in North Wales, in all that sunshine… what a struggle! 🤣 Another magnificent motorcycling road is the A483 from Newtown to Llandrindod Wells (or vice versa). Also, if you're in Brecon heading North, try the B4520 to Builth Wells, it's a corker of a road.
