Bike Mechanic Paul, took his Brompton on a mini cycle tour to Dartmoor National Park. Join him cycling through the spring lanes and cycle paths.
Details:
📍The whole route was on Sustrans NCN route with the vast majority traffic free. He used Cross Country Trains and a number of different train stations @GWRUK – All very positive.

Scary 😱 … no locking Brommie on the train … I’d fear the grab & go. Do you ever lock it on the train?
What a dream ride, train & Brommie! Thanks for sharing 🎉🎉
Enjoy the ride Paul!
The Brompton is so versatile for what it is. 👍
Looks like a great ride. Would a 'G line be the best of both worlds? Ability to fold but slightly bigger wheels for the non tarmac sections.
Awesome Paul! Loving your content all the way from California.
Paul, what chain ring do you have 44t ? Thanks Mike.
Brilliant! Your explanation of why you love your. Brompton was spot on. So many people just don’t get it – and until you own one, you probably won’t.
Very nice ride……greetings from Brazil.
Nice video Paul, still enjoying the wheels you made me for my Galaxy – quick question, would you recommend the mini P bars as a retro fit? Touring Brompton
Just like you, I love my Brompton, so wonderful to ride, to carry, to dream on ❤
Another interesting and helpful video, Paul. It's difficult for just what your journey entailed to better it than on a Brompton. I'll be getting back on mine soon with an appropriate saddle (prostate removal), which I hope will spread the load, so to speak. Next up is maximising the comfort along the mixed terrain tracks I ride on – similar to what you took on this video. Genuine scrowave works well. The titanium post seems to be a little expensive, but considering it. Tyres? I use Factory fitted Schwalbe Marathon Racer, which have been fine. I'd like to balance comfort with robustness with tyres. Would the Marathon Plus help with comfort? Yes they'd have better puncture resistance, but comfort? Any other comfort ideas, please? Have you used the new G-line? How does this compare for comfort?
Are you not melting with all those clothes on? Also the helmet strap Y-adjusters should sit beneath your ears, not under your chin.
The ability to fold it up to the size of a suitcase, tuck it under your arm lift it on bus train etc and your on your way
Thanks for another great Brompton video Paul. What a true Bromptoneer you are! I feel, very much like you, that life is just more fun on a Brompton, and my other bikes seem to be getting less and less use.
Currently on a six week camper van trip round France with Brompton in the back. It’s also been with me on planes, trains and buses – camping trips, shopping trips, day rides …….
Keep up the good work, looking forward to your next video😊
Just bought a Brompton excited to get it come across your video enjoyed it immensely you have a new subscriber well done from sunny Birmingham
I like your videos just don’t need the music pal sounds of nature bike peddling all you need with some commentary as you are riding , all the best
