Here are some highlights of the Kilteely Grand Prix race held in Kilteely by Greenmount Cycling academy.

Race 1 – Conor O’Dea Perpetual Cup (C3 Riders, 7 Laps):
A breakaway of 6 riders led most of the race, staying 40 seconds ahead of the bunch. On the final lap, Shane O’Neill dropped back, leaving 5 riders to sprint for the win. Junior rider Kristupas Martinkus (O’Leary Stone Kanturk) took the victory, followed by Fran Brannigan, Denis Lynch, Oran O’Callaghan, and Stephen Wallace. Sean Conroy won the bunch sprint. Kristupas received the cup from Conor O’Dea himself.

Race 2 – Kieran MacMahon Memorial Cup (C1/C2 Riders):
C2 riders started with a 4-minute handicap, but the C1 group steadily closed the gap, making contact with 6 laps to go. A final break led to another 5-man sprint, with Patrick O’Loughlin (Panduit Carrick Wheelers) winning ahead of Liam Crowley, Willem O’Connor, Shane McKay, and Michael Collins. Yan Tsymbal was the first C2 rider to finish.
