🔊🗣️🎶 The #bicycles aboard @European_Waterways’ Enchanté had hardly been used, so @regardingoystersparis and I, along with Jan from Ontario, took them out for a spin across the French countryside—while also stretching our legs and burning some of Chef @Hannah0311d’s delicious calories off.
From La Redorte, we biked faster than the boat’s chelonian pace, beyond the willow trees and a dog that can bark “I love you,” to the final mooring site of our six-day cruise along another mere fraction of the entire #CanalDuMidi: L’Ecluse de l’Anguille (The Lock of the Eel) in Puchéric. It’s perhaps the canal’s most decorated lock, since the lock keeper, @Joel.Barthes.505, has kept himself occupied by sprucing up the lock’s surroundings with funny #sculptures made out of found parts—some of them kinetic, triggered by a motion sensor.
