Welcome to my new channel and to the first in a series of lost railways of the UK. We take a look at the old London Northwestern Railway line between walsall and Lichfield that Back the Track are turning into an urban greenway and opening the route up to walkers, runners and cyclists. In this video near to the signal box It closely follow the route go the Lichfield and Hatherton Canal which is being restored by the canal restoration trust. It is a great example of turning abandoned railway into a Linear park and nature highway. Sustrans have created tarmac path on the first part of the route and hopefully they can eventually do the same here.
