It’s October 2021 and this is a great cycle camping tour over the hills, ending with heading into a strong wind all along the south coast. It is a sentimental journey for me to re-visit places I cycled to from London as a teenager around 50 years ago. These include, Box Hill, North Downs, South Downs, Frensham Ponds, Devils Punchbowl, Portsmouth, Hayling Island, Bognor, Brighton and Worthing, Ashdown Forest, Newhaven and Eastbourne.

Loved this video. Great choice of music as always. Used to live in Wimborne nearly 30 years ago so a lot of the early footage brought back a lot of memories
Hi great video looking forward to your next one,My family say I'm mad at 69 years old and still touring so now I have found a friend Good luck from Ireland.☺.

super nice videos, thanks for posting these. I'm just across the water from you – we live in Poole, so it's fun to see some local (to me) cycle touring.
… meant to add – do you use an app to plan your adventures? Komoot or such maybe?
Well done on making it up Kidds Hill (nickname The Wall) to the top of the Ashdown Forest! That's my get fit quick hill by riding it repeatedly. 🙂
Wow I'm impressed you must live near me I'm in ringwood
As I'm on the Isle of Wight ,I might pop over & do this one & the Wales one ,Would you happen to have a gpx file for them ? Thanks .
You got it made there great. Did you say you cycled there in the seventies. I used to work there then around Alton, Selbourn, Liss. Had I been cycling there probably wouldn't have left. Super.
