I know it’s not a lot but maybe someone can help me here. I don’t have the hub at hand because it belongs to a friend and we will attempt to change the cartridge bearings inside today.
The endcaps thread into an insert that sits approximately where the black part of the hub is (turquoise part) and the bearings sit at the red markings. To open one endcap you have to use two Allen keys from each side and for the second you have to insert the second Allen key into the threaded insert.
This is rather unfamiliar to me and I was wondering if I had to tap the insert to push one bearing out on the other side.
Anyone familiar with something like that or has any recourses on hubs like these? Googling marchisio hub service didn’t give me much besides a manual for a modular hub that doesn’t appear to be built like this one.
